2006-Jaz_Presents_Adagio_Adagio_Is_No_Joke_(The_Collection)

Post by Jaz »

Philly native Adagio is the cousin of producer Obvious Wonder and he is a dope, skilled and sadly unknown MC that broke onto the scene with the ill "Obvious Joint" in 1996, he had a few other 12"s and an ep as well and was/is down with The Juggaknots, he appears on their full re-issue LP 'clear blue skies'.

Most of his singles are rare and cost a lot of money.

1-20 cents
2-poetry to infinity
3-the obvious joint
4-everybody
5-the_meaning_ft._wisdom
6-who is adagio
7-listening pleasure_ft_breezly_brewin
8-ass and benefits
9-boy & girl tale
10-upperhand
11-the obvious_joint_ii
12-all_star_jam_ft_wisdom_ft_adaigio_and_the_juggaknots
13_who makes it hot ft the_ juggaknots
14-my_girl

*
1-poetry to infinity
If anyone has this on 12" record, could you please PM me, It was one of my all time favourite joints and I need too play it out also can anyone post up links to a site that actually has a pic and bio of Adagio...

and mp3s of these please

"Listening Pleasure (Remix)"
"Hold Tight"

Thanks and enjoy...

"poetry to inifnity" is my joint kid...don't you find it odd that there is rwally fuck all info on the dude?...I can't even a pic or a bio about adagio...it's nuts.

would you be keen to depart with your 12" of "poetry to inifnity"?

no it's not...Adagio was one dude...where did you get that info from?
reign supreme was Adagio's alias.

Listen to the comp here and hear for yourself

there was No Brewin on The Obvious Joint or Ass and Benefits etc...he only appeared on a few tracks with Adagio.

so obvious wonder must've been rhyming on almost all of those tracks, cause i hear two voices...one would be adagio rhyming aka reign supreme and the other one ?

on who's adagio "brother's from philly the other's from uptown"
on "the breaks" "this two man crew"

it'd all seem that adagio is reign supreme and obvious wonder (Big Cousin)

i'm kind of confused now, listening intesively to the tracks haha

my conclusion is that adagio is a two man crew : reign supreme and obvious wonder who produced and rhymed (R. Pritchett & R. Fogle)

nah man, Adagio was honestly one dude, Oracle just told you that he has freestyles from the Stretch and Bob shows...

A lot of MC's double up there voice on there vocals and Obvious Wonder did adlibs but he wasn't a rhymer.

You know what Adagio means right?
# Music. A slow passage, movement, or work, especially one using adagio as the direction.
Case closed

peace kid

sure that i know what it means, a musical composition with a very slow tempo...don't know why you underlined the "one"

yeah oracle said it, but you know i'm always trusting my own judgement...it seems like it wasn't a good idea in this case
