NYL crew showed up in the studio and found Lyn and some other DJ's had already replaced them without any notice. They kicked them off for language, alcohol, or something like that. Brings back lot of memories listening to this. I think I might have taped the freestyles but not the whole show
I have this night on tape but not in this high quality. The Half-A-Mill demo is bonkers.

One Step Beyond - Dedicated is the track your after, although the vinyl only features an instrumental, http://www.discogs.com/One-Step-Beyond- ... se/3771693. Not sure where the vocal version comes from, its highly sought after, but there is vocal versions on youtube so I guess it is out these somewhere???

All of the vocal versions of One Step Beyond - 'Dedicated' on Youtube are rips off of WNYU. I suspect many of the rips being from the March 12, 1997 episode posted above. With Joe Summa from One Step Beyond being in the studio that night, it wouldn't surprise me if the vocal version was on DAT only.

YEAH and THX for the info jamo609. Sounds like good material for a limited vinyl project if somebody will be able to get to the source.
edit: here are one step beyond - dedicated, half-a-mill freestyle and unpredictable demo

Wow. This is dope indeed. I'm completely behind on my ish. And the dicks at solid files wiped out links that i never even got to post. I had about 15 tape rips.

I think the show that followed New York Live was called the Hip Hop Shop. I have a recording that I posted a while back on here that was a Thanksgiving episode that featured a DJ named DJ Rotate. Lyn Gonzalez was away in Florida for this show. Here is the link again. Idk if anyone has anymore shows from this particular group, but it would be cool to hear. This is the only one I got.
Just clocked these recent posts from Step/ Grime and Jesse V, many thanks gents. I lost all my Soundcloud posts as the account was terminated, I knew it'd be a matter of time..... Im sure I'll do it again, just need to find the right platform, like everyone.
Thanks again for the inspiration. Some great posts here.
