Mad props bambam, but this isn`t the same version as that discogs link. That version has extra tracks like "Fallen Comrade" and "Existence In Life" that we`ve never heard before. Thanks anyway though

I was listening to some Double XX Posse on my way to work today, and I remembered that Sugar Ray had another crew around the late 90's/early 00's... I found a CD EP a few years back on eBay but couldn't cop it, I think it was released under the name Strong Peoples or something pretty similar... If anyone can help, major thanks in advance.

Ray Slugs never been a great lyricist, but his delivery was so fierce... I miss that kind of emcees nowadays.

No doubt. Peace to ral278 for the rip.

I guess Ray Slugs was Sugar Ray's newer name?
I can't help but mention this when the subject arises, cause the subject
doesn't come up too often, honestly:
I grew up a few blocks from where Double X was at. They rolled deep.
Belmont and Monticello was basically their corner for awhile. But they had
a few pretty thorough block radius on lock for awhile. In jersey city.
Apache would roll through randomly, never met him though. Saw him in
passing.
Also, my boy Carmelo(gumbo) was in the studio for their Ruff Rugged and
Raw album sessions, and was one of the voices in the posse adlib parts.
That's all, no big deal. Just memories.

That is a big deal because Ruff Rugged and Raw is one of my fave albums of all time, I didn't think the Strong Peoples material was as good as Double X.

^^Word, Jaz.
That was a highly slept on album. Double XX was dope.
I've stayed bumpin tracks like "He Asked for It" since back then.
Sugar Ray's voice and presence>>>>>>>>>>than a lot of over rated
emcees.

I had this one on my comp, but the tracklisting is slightly different though (Only remixes & album versions appear, no instrumentals & no clean versions). Seems like it's the rare Maxi CD version, hope you won't mind.

I definitely agree.

When he said stuff like "You'd be my bitch if we was in the fuckin' penile", it was like the best warning in the world not to get your ass sent to jail lol.

I was browsing through Discogs & I came across this :

http://www.discogs.com/Da-Bastardz-PT-1/release/1775630

Damn, why did I NEVER heard about it before? I'm real curious about it now, especially the K-Solo produced track.
