True, nobs gave me a big pile of tapes to go thru. Trouble is, the dude G-Quick who taped em was an all-too-typical tape guy. He'd go up and down the dial from BLS to KISS and back again, so far there's been little in the way of complete shows. But I still got a lot to weed thru

I had bookmarked this thread but was never able to get any of these shows. Did the original uploader put up any mirrors or were they all sendspace? None of them work ...

do you know what the deal is with the Marley/PR Pirate Radio shows? I assume it wasnt an actual Pirate Radio broadcast so was it on a college station or something? I've got a tape I'm gonna post on the blog soon so some background on it would be good - was it running at the same time as Future Flavas and how regular was it etc?

No prob. Pirate Radio came on around midnight on Saturdays here in the tri-state area and K-Def was also a featured DJ from time to time. I can't remember whether the show was on WBLS or 105.9 FM WNWK but I decided to share it in this thread anyway for those who might want the audio. this show was running the same time/year as Future Flavas, I consider 1995 one of the golden eras of NYC Hip Hop radio.

here's the Pete Rock & Marley Pirate radio tape from 1994. Unfortuntely the sound quality was terrible (think it was more of a problem with the broadcast rather than the recording itself) so I didnt rip the whole thing but this 17 minutes aint too bad.
