Yeah, give Steve a big collective hug for us. Yג€™know, the non-homosexual kind. Or just give dude a pound.

The stretchandbobbito.blogspot should be promoted a bit more. I see weג€™re already at an advantage: if you google ג€œstretch bobbitoג€ the blog is pretty high up there. Once upload links can be created, it might could attract tapeholders outta the woodwork. TheBigSleep, wheresyouat? Ifn you need help gathering/organizing data, we'd be happy to do it

To ease the pain, I got more rips from nobs other acquisitions. They'll be posted in the mixtape, blends, vintage radio stickie in the coming days, so be on the lookout

I'm around, busier than usual but around. Thanks for the offer man. I think everything is pretty much gathered here so once I get everything moved over that I can / know I need to do then I might take you up on that.

Everything is happening in fits and starts right now, so once I do my next major update which I'll try to make happen soon and incorporate a lot of what's been added (link / playlist wise) that should make this more organized and less confusing overall. And I'm open to ideas as well.

Great work everybody as always.

By the way, this comment was left yesterday:

^It's Choclair from canada, not sure what joint it is but the beat reminds me so much of Saukrates' Hate Runs Deep that I would assume the same person produced it.

word, big ups to everyone for all the rips. The aleph/nobs/steve brock run was fantastic.

Hopefully, like aleph said, the blog will bring in some random heads who have more tapes to add on.

Was gonna say the same exact thing- beat is practically Hate Runs Deep pitched down. Damn if you can find info on this track anywhere, I wonder if it was at all released.
aREAL wrote:daym, that Genesis joint is off the chain! Any information regarding it? Demo? Released? Year? Location? etc. DOPE!
Bobbito would trot it out every so often beginning maybe 1993. Genesis was one of those never-ever signed SnB-championed dudes along w/AJ Damane, Tone the Butcher, etc. I know he was down with Puppets of Chaos and Atoms Fam and had another demo w/a group Two Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest. Was it Blockhead who ripped these some yrs ago? If I find them I'll post.

^Word man, them shits sound mad similar.

And yeah, Genesis, I've seen/heard his name/demos a few times through the years. Pretty sure you're right and Blockhead posted that Two Flew Over The Cuckoo' Nest demo a while back. Damn, time fuckin flies.
aleph wrote:^Yeah, you know that's one of my fave demo jawns and we may never definitively know what the title is. A bottle of Dom Perignon to whoever does. I'm certain that unless Bobbito has his tapes all marked, HE wouldn't even know.
Ohhhh, now i see. Hah, I knew you said the demo you were looking for finally surfaced but I couldn't figure what joint it was. Yeah, shit's ill. I agree, Bob probably don't even remember what it is. Never know though. I'll keep an eye/ear out, you know what with all the limited market dropping some unknown demos every once in a while.

The Othorized joint is still not confirmed or definite yet. I believe we all agreed at one point in the past that it's most likely Othorized and that no one has seen it on vinyl. But the fact that they let it go after the joint ends and the instrumental comes on that they talk over makes me think this was on a record cause what demos actually include an instrumental, right? Would love to find out the deal with this joint, shit's raw as fuck.

I got in contact with one of the dudes from Othorized Fam ages ago but he only referred me to their new material

True, but would Stretch have been able to press up instrumentals of demos? THAT would be hot

No surprise there, O.C. was the safe choice... I can't imagine what a Genesis lp would have sounded like, but I would have been amped with just a couple of singles
