ECLIPSE, WHERE YOU AT???

Out of desperation I uploaded an excerpt of a 1998 show featuring Capital D of All Natural. I think his freestyle was posted before somewhere but included here is an interview and a joke battle betw. him and Lord Sear. Itג€™ll have to tide us over until the next show comes (hopefully sooner than later).

Bobbito's monthly column in Quincy Jones' VIBE magazine lasted more than a decade, from '94 'til '06. It was entitled Sound Check, though it initially started off as The Blindfold Test, an idea taken from Down Beat magazine.

Bobbito Garcia wrote:ג€...I was a writer at large for VIBE. The column was called Sound Check. I did that for about ten years...I interviewed Isaac Hayes...Gil Scot-Heron, Michael Jordan and Quincy Jones, basically some of the most famous people in the world and play[ed] music for them. I think that was instrumental in allowing people to accept me as a DJ that played a lot of rare music, because I showcased that in my column and would share it in my club sets. People would be like, oh yo thatג€™s the joint, I never heard about it but I read it about in your column when you interviewed Rosie Perez. So that opened up a lot of doors and Iג€™m very grateful to the publication.ג€ ~ Bobbito Garcia (for the Examiner in '09)
Here's the list of guests from the one hundred and twenty four issues I've collected already (feel free to add on):

Doug E. Fresh, The Large Professor, Q-Tip, Rosie Perez, Special Ed, Patra, Crazy Legs (of The Rock Steady Crew), Diamond D, Dionne Farris, Simon LeBon (of Duran Duran), N-Bushe Wright, Raekwon, Yo Yo, Pete Rock, DJ Premier, Roberta Flack, Russell Simmons, Amel Larrieux (of Groove Theory), Keith Sweat, Lee Quinones, Gil Scott-Heron, Buckshot, Tony Bennett, Abiodun Oyewole (of The Last Poets), Chuck Brown (of The Soul Searchers), Angie Martinez, Ziggy Marley, Michael Jordan, Michael Bolton, Todd Oldham, Kid Capri, Rosario Dawson, Gloria Estefan, DJ Funkmaster Flex, Scary Spice, George Clinton, Kobe Bryant, Jewel, Kool Keith, Mystikal, Wesley Snipes, Coko (of SWV), Quincy Jones, Flavor Flav, Nipsey Russell, Lisa ג€œLeft Eyeג€ Lopes, Andy Hilfiger, Michael Rapaport, Snoop Dogg & Tha Eastsidaz, Donell Jones, Beenie Man, Guru, Cypress Hill, Too Short, Sin

Thanks Krisch

I'm gonna have to plead ignorance/confusion on the 1991 X-Men listing. I put it on there, so either it's a mistake or it's there for a reason but for the life of me, I can't find it now...sheeeit!! Sorry peoples, scratch that entry

07/14/96 Non Phixion http://www.megaupload.com/?d=61ZBQHY1
This came from the comments section on the blog. It's a mashup of SnB, Underground Railroad and Night Train shows on one 3 1/2 hr file. Peace to whoever posted the link

I took this shot for someone else so excuse the anomoly of an Awesome2 shirt in the mix, but does anyone know how many Stretch & Bobbito T-Shirts & sweatshirts were created over the years?

Im certain there were more than these 2 tees and a sweatshirt. Wasnt there a red or a yellow version of the grey? Did they do any others with PNB?

Any info appreciated

Thanks to everyone on the upload's & scans some real treats i've missed a lot of dopeness.

I think i've uploaded these before but here they are again scan's from barber shop, echo advert, bit's from the source and hhc.

http://www.mediafire.com/?97g1tkh5o9wg9qk

@ Irish Craig i think there were two more tee's one was like a logo looking tee with stretch & Bobbito in large bold writing which is in this video @ 1min 11secs and a Krunchtime tee ( i think i may be wrong as the tee he has on is spelt with a C and not with a k) which is in this video @ 5min 46sec

The design Bob's wearing was the first one I saw back in the early 90s, also by PNB. Except it was a white tee w/white on black lettering- simple and to the point, the way I like it

They had many, many designs by PNB alone

EDIT: Yeah, the one RELM spotted, that's another version. FRESH

Relm/ Aleph -

Thanks so much fr the info and the Barber Shop clippings, I have a 3 other ones, i'll up em

Bobb is wearin a few different ones in that EPK type clip, the black version of that maroon PNB joint from early 90s is stupid. He rocks the blue PNB 89 Tec 9 on YO MTV Raps, and he wears an orange version of the '7 Years of Treats' Sweatshirt/ also, is that just a black n white pic of that same design ?

The Crunchtime Tee? New levels of ephemeral Hip-Hop holy grails!

On part 3 around 19 mins. Separated it, here ya go:

I could be wrong since i don't really know their catalog/album by heart but it certainly sounds like a demo to me. The Isley Brothers' Between The Sheets sample along with, i think, the same sample as I Am I Be by De La, not positive though.

Thanks Verge, yep, that's not on their lp or any of the singles / promos that came out. I think Dante Ross might have more of their unreleased material but he hates them...

I need to hit this thread up and get this stuff, it's an amazing resource.

OK, I'll check it out- what I upped is the 95 freestyle alone, so if it is the right one it's separated from the show and may be useful.
