Rodney should have more albums to his name given how long he's been around. 1 group album & 1 solo doesnt do him justice. Thats the nature of the UK scene I guess!

Sadly not
then it was like more basement unreleased album?
then possibility to nail it is very small.

sadly, many uk artists didnt get appreciation in 90s from labels (or other reasons) so many good albums didnt came out, i can name few of many - mc mello, lords of rap, k.i.d, kinetic effect etc.

Sorry bro, unless its a mixtape or radio recording I turn off the DL option as I kinda feel like I would be taking money out of the artists pocket should they wish to re-issue or whatever. If it was some mega artist I wouldn't be too worried I guess but for the little UK indie guys I don't really feel like I have the right to give their music away. Might be able to find some of those tunes on Itunes though I reckon. Sorry.

I know someone already posted 20 Seconds to Comply, which is the tune you were thinking of, but this is a good one as well IMO: -

On an unrelated note, I've just been listening to Def Tex's "Serene Bug" LP. Man, I love this tune: -

Great thread!

This is my decent quality rip of Silent Eclipse - Psychological Enslavement and the CD single Government. This is my personal favorite UK Hip-hop album and MC D in the nineties my favorite UK MC.

hi, I Just got this book - the rap records 2nd ed. by freddy fresh that attempts to catalog every hip hop 12"ever pressed. in this new edition, there is a special intro that addresses UK hip hop in general written by Dudley Jaynes. it's very interesting and goes into why there was a decline in UK hip hop during the early - mid 90s. I just got this book and haven't really gotten into reading it yet but i'm already salivating. I recommend you guys pick this up if you can. I got mine for about 16 dollars USD shipped to me off of ebay.

direct link to the rest of the intro is here
