Nas - It Aint Hard To Tell (reconstructed o.g. version)
This is an attempt to merge the o.g. version of It Aint Hard To Tell (which I've only ever heard on a J-Love mixtape in poor sound quality and J-Love talking over it) with the Illmatic version. I've seen a lot of people say they prefer the beat on the o.g. version where you can actually hear the Michael Jackson 'Human 'Nature' sample, whereas on the Illmatic version it's virtually lost in the mix, so this is kind of an experiment to combine both versions...

having a divshare account is worth it, you can make streaming playlists and whatnot, cool shit you can't do with zshare

yeah that's what I'm talking about. like this it's a lot less radio friendly than what ended up on illmatic . always been my less favorite beat on that album

i'm not fully familar with all the intricacies, but here's what i've done in the past....
when you upload there's an option to upload to a certain folder
you can up several songs at once using the multiple files option
when all the files are in the same folder, the embedding code you get actually lets you play all the songs in there. there's still an option to embed individual files too i believe
there's variations and options of how you can do this i think, just play around with making a folder and you'll find one that works
i think thun knows much more about this stuff than i do, maybe hit him up for more detailed suggestions

You basically covered it. The UI of DivShare is a bit screwy but if you tinker around enough you'll figure it out.drizzle wrote:i'm not fully familar with all the intricacies, but here's what i've done in the past....

I dig this mix. yknow, back in 94 nobody was getting MJ samples (Nas and MJ were both on Sony, so I always assumed it was a little easy to clear...). Here's the question though, the sample is moved waaaaay back into the mix. that SWV joint had been hot back a few months before the album dropped. And the MJ sample in that track got more talk than the actual song.
You think the producer consciously moved it back just because?
Maybe that was the way the final mix was intended?
Maybe MJ's people asked that it not be "direct and center" is they cleared the sample?

Could have been any of those reasons but honestly the songs sounds damned near like some new age meditation shit when the sample is in front of the vocals. Dope, but I can see how in 1994 that shit would've been laughed off the face of the earth.thebridgeisover wrote:I dig this mix. yknow, back in 94 nobody was getting MJ samples (Nas and MJ were both on Sony, so I always assumed it was a little easy to clear...).
