Das Efx - What More Can I Say (Unreleased) 1994

Post by S.DeEzY4O8 »

I have this on a Bootleg 12" single that I bought from Ultra Sounz in San Bruno (15 mins south of SF) back in '94 when the homie AJ (DJ AJAX) owned and ran the place. I have no information about the song, but have always fuckin LOVED it! I think it might be my favorite Das Efx joint ever?

So does anyone have any information on it? I uploaded the song from my vinyl... 192 quality. Enjoy...

This is a tremendous upload. "What More Can I Say" is easily my favorite Das Efx track. Is there an instrumental on the bootleg single? I'd pay stupid dollars to have this record.

I'm missing a sample, though. It was also used on the excellent East Of The Rock track "Mr. Producer".

When did Ultra Sounz shut down? I started working in San Bruno in 2008 and was sad to see that it wasn't in the downtown area anymore. It was a cool little shop.

Wow, glad you enjoy this! But naw man, no instrumental or anything. It's only the vocal version. Btw, how do you post the Divshare player things? I would have done it that way had I known how. And also, doesn't anyone have any information about this song??? Who Produced it? When was it recorded? What album was it intended for? Why was it never officially released? etc.

I'm not sure exactly. I stopped paying attention to that place around 2002. It was a great spot back in the early-late 90's.

I'd been looking for more East Of The Rock material outside of "Galaxy Rays" and "Egyptian Musk" for upwards of a decade. Kevin Beacham came through with the goods. :gyeah:

From the intro of the song, it sounds like they freaked some early 60', maybe
even late 50's record for that sample. I can't be any more help than that, sorry.
My sample knowledge is mostly based on 70's music.

Great uploads, though. Listening now.

How do you know?

Maybe I just have a bootleg that was pressed/came out in '94. What other info do you have on this song/record?
