Stretch Armstrong and Eli Esco take you on an old school Hip-Hop ride on the Delancey Music Service tonight.

Stretch told us heג€™s going to dig deep and play demos and unreleased versions of songs by legends from the 80's and 90's, including LL Cool J, Public Enemy, Soulz of Mishchief, Mobb Deep and a ton of others.

The duo take The Delancey Music service and time travel to the golden daze and it starts at 10pm ET, don't miss this one. Listen Live!

someone needs to hook this up!

FYI, this is from Eli's blog a couple of weeks ago:
So the people over at EVR have asked me not to post up the shows. If you guys wanna hear old shows you'll have to stream them off the EVR website. If someone calls you on the phone or your Chinese takeout comes, don't pause the stream because it'll start from the beginning again when you press play.

Public Enemy demos? That was be fantastic. I am assuming he is going to play Step to my Girl from Souls. Maybe the ever elusive Paddy Shop by Mobb? Either way, it is a can't miss. We all know Stretch's hip hop knowledge, but Eli does his thing too I have a few Old School Sets from him that are real dope. Thanks for the head's up, I had no idea this was going to down.

Thanks for the heads up!

I'm going to try ripping this directly from the ShoutCast server. There will be no transcoding and since they serve a 128K MP3, that'll be the rip.

If all goes well, I will post it within a couple of minutes after the show. Wish me luck!

I would wager we'll get some late 80's, early 90's demos or not, from Stretch.
Possible No Exit 2...if he 'found it'.
Don't sleep on Eli, though, I'm tellin' you..

Naw, it sounds straight. But the recording is looking like shit.
Like you can't even see a wavelength, just a line and only left side.
Aww, fuck it...

Really nice and reminiscent hearing Stretch back on the radio.
They need Bob n Sear up in that piece, though. :pause:

And they're not being too conservative with it either.

Vain bastid.
All gravy though..
I sent like 10 Im's lol..

I hear them tho, but I told them you nobody is ripping 128 tracks and trying to claim shit. haha

This is dope to hear in a radio show format, but does anyone else get the feeling that they are gonna stick to playing mostly stuff that we've been trading in mp3s for years?

But yeah, listening and enjoying...

First time that I ever hear this song...

He's spitting the verses he did in his freestyle with Big L in 95.

Somebody has an mp3 ?

Great stuff

The Wu Tang demo was the only one that stumped me thus far. For me, to be honest, as gay as these dudes are, I am happy to hear Stretch on the radio again in this capacity.

I Get Down For My Crown.

I'll see if I can dig it out.
There are no clear versions of any of those Wu demos.
