Yeah, I was all :ohsh: when I saw this thread but now I'm all :owens: cause it isn't on here. Black Sun "Quarter To Midnight". My only hope now is that they also do a vinyl version with some bonus tracks, like last time, and that it will be on there.
This still will be a dope CD that I will cop asap, though, I'm not complaining. Every No Sleep release is a banger.

Actually though, I'ma DULT:
DJMIKENICE wrote:10. Shadowz In Da Dark "11:45"
That's it!! Black Sun is from that group, so... The only reason I had it labeled how I have is because I only knew the hook for years and then some kid had the song listed as Black Sun somewhere and then other people, including later on myself, reached out to Black Sun on youtube to ask him about it and he pretty much confirmed that the song was him but that he didn't have it.
Word, finally.
i'd be ironic if that track was readily available - now that we know what the official title is.

^ You know what man? Its either some deja vu shit(or was in a dream) or I swear I've seen that title before somewhere fairly recently. But I'm burned out with the short term memory so I'm most likely just imagining shit. Lol.

 For my taste, it is. I guess it depends on if you dig this beat cause this is pretty much the instrumental:
<object width="480" height="390"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/CwhlWE8HDc4?fs ... ram><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/CwhlWE8HDc4?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="480" height="390" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>

So far, it's supposed to be May 17th as an ughh.com exclusive. Then some time in June for everywhere else.

I don't see any pre-orders there yet but hope to see it soon.

Shitty cover, but who cares about the cover if the music is - and I'm sure it is - straight up dope?

Listening to the dope ass snippets I wonder: will there even be a volume 3? So much high quality material on this one I'm pretty sure Nick Wiz got even more material in the vaults or did he never produce some average tracks???

Hahaaa.. He's a mad under rated dude, man, but I doubt there'll be a volume 3. Never know though, especially if this sells well and the demand is there. I wouldn't be surprised with maybe some artist from his comps maybe putting out an EP or LP though. Ran Reed was saying that he got maaad joints with him and Nick, enough for more than an album.
:gyeah:
And, as you hear with the snippets, he really laced Ran up with some extra illness whenever he worked with him.

Yeah, I wouldn't even be surprised if some of those artist on both compilations will release an Vinyl only EP/LP with one of those labels like Diggers with gratitude, One leg up Records etc. . Especially Ran Reed needs to release something since his tracks on both compilations are pure dopeness and he did not release an album so far as far as I know. So people need to buy the new Nick Wiz compilation like crazy so we get a realistic chance of more artists rapping on that releasing some long forgotten and unheard stuff...

A Shadowz in the Dark album would be quality.

same goes for SS, Ran Reed and Lord Have Mercy...

Not sure if you guys heard that Ran Reed 'This Is War' mixtape he released a couple of years ago? Not as good as his older stuff (of course), but there's some pretty dope tracks on there (including some newer Nick Wiz-produced joints) - I don't have it on my computer but you can D/L it free here: http://www.datpiff.com/Ran-Reed-This-Is ... .7808.html

Looking forward to the new Cellar Sounds compilation!
