Masta Ace is my favorite MC, I can see some good and some bad points on this collabo, but I'm not too confident about it. Check and please share your thoughts :P

Last week, we were admittedly pretty gassed to find out that Masta Ace and (MF) DOOM had collaborated on a joint album, MA DOOM: Son of Yvonne. But now that the details of the project have been revealed, we're not quite as excited as we once were. Apparently all of the beats on the album stem from DOOM's instrumental album series Special Herbs.
Now, while I'm sure Ace picked the best of the best on there, we've already heard a number of those beats elsewhere. For example, Ghostface Killah used a few on his Fishscale album while John Robinson did the same for Who Is This Man?. We're still looking forward to hearing MA DOOM, that's for damn sure. But we would have liked it to have been more exclusive on the production tip.
MA DOOM is set to drop in November.
