Major Stress-Against the wall (1997)

Post by Mr. J Selectah »

Remember this? How many times did i insist about this album, so we could get it on Philaflava/T.R.O.Y...a true eastcoast gem, seriously. If anyone can help with the cover...thanks.

Precisely, right on the time i've requested for the whole album, more than two years if i'm not mistaken...because my album was incomplete, and some user (can't remember who) here, got the rest from soulseek and shared it on T.R.O.Y....later on, i've started seeing Major Stress uploaded into someones blog...but i've requested this more than 5 times, so it took its time to get it...just for reminisce, a very solid and distinct album.

NO, I wish! These are the pics that poster "Knowbody" posted, he has or had a copy.

They should give this a vinyl press or cd re-release.

Word - On another note Minne should open the vaults too.

Even my brother who isn't fucking with Hip-Hop anymore said the production is tight on "Against The Wall".

Prince Paul also should put out the Horror City album in proper form and fashion.

Assuming that a vinyl press would cost like $40-$50 plus shipping, plus taking the fact that we're fucking dying here for granted, I'd prefer the cd re-release :P
Knowbody, armed robbery is the next thing that'll happen to you man.. :P

I feel ya. CD would be fine by me as well, shit I'm glad the rip was shared here so at least we can hear it at all.
I don't think that is Knowbody who is selling it there kartman, he was just pointing to where it's being sold. Yes, $500 is fuckin insane for this. But we're beating a dead horse here, it is what it is for the time being. Craziness.

This beat was a real stand out to me.. if i didn't know i might have guessed it was a Spinna beat, but its not:

@kartman: So I guess I should be careful with telling anyone my adress...;-)

@verge: When I listen to the beats of this album I always ask myself if Salaam Remi produced all the beats (like the booklet says) since they are so different. But I guess Salaam is just a versatile producer ...

By the way: Does anybody know what happened with Major Stress after this album? I don't know of any releases besides some singles from the album, but that is long ago...

This is a great album and definitely needs a vinyl reissue.

I'm sure there must be some more Ras-T material somewhere too...

Ill Nig is the other 12", and is better IMO. He also had a real dope short track on the 1st Funkmaster Flex album...

That Norfside Heroes 12" is a good record too.

Yeah, I was the one that found it on soulseek. I uploaded on my mediafire account, and it's been downloaded 1464 times since I uploaded it in 2009.
