the day that the 18th letter dropped was like a holiday for me, i was hyped as fuck, especially after hearing "it's been along time" and "new york" on mixtapes for months. that "suavehouse" remix had me like but other than that, i was feeling it. not a classic like i expected but still dope in the midst of the jiggy era.
copped vendetta a week later from a local mom and pop and enjoyed it despite "nuthin move but the money" being such a damn blatant attempt at cashing in. "unstoppable" is still the fucking joint. that cut with jay-z was so horrible though.
never fucked with jedi although i did hear the "neva antiquated" joint on the local underground radio show and liked it.
didn't cop the jay-z lp but i killed "friend or foe '98", "streets is watching" and "rhyme no more" when i first heard them on mixtapes and then borrowed the cd from my boy and dubbed it.
so despite my long-winded ass rant, the 18th letter>>>>>>>>>>>>

Rakim for sure... but that Mic Geronimo album is a guilty pleasure and I like the Jay Z album too (it's the only album of his I can listen to apart from the debut.)

I copped Vendetta first and it's also my favorite. 18th Letter is a close 2nd.
Prepare yourself now for the six man wedding!

The 18th Letter, 4sho.
Never was really that into Jay but In My Lifetime has some dope azz cuts.
Haven't heard Geronimo's sophomore effort although I played the shit outta his debut.

Jigga for sure. I liked 18th letter but I was expecting more. I still like Vol 1 to this day.
