Sounds like SHIT, really low power.mongo wrote:$20 belkin fm transmitter from walmart.
plugs into headphone jack, runs off 2 AAAs.
Monster sells one for $79.99 or less that chargers and sends your ipods audio signal strong and clear to your FM.
its called iCarplay

$40 on amazon. fuckin steal.
never had any problems when i used it in miami for 2.5yrs.Wexford wrote:and sounds like utter shit unless you live in the sticks.mongo wrote:$20 belkin fm transmitter from walmart.

have to switch freq's every once in a while depending on the areas youre drivin thru, but shit, $20 compared to $150 for the cheapest deck with an aux input or some shit like that...
fuck all the pre said ideas. just go and buy a pioneer deck for like 120 that has an aux plug (I'd recommend that over the one that you have to use your deck to control because scrolling is a straight up bitch on those) . an fm transmitter is going to take away a lot of quality from an mp3 which already has quality taken away to begin with.
this man is telling the truth.Can-U wrote:an fm transmitter is going to take away a lot of quality from an mp3 which already has quality taken away to begin with.
i fucked with a few different FM transmitters and concluded the following:
a) most of the time i'd rather go iPodless than wrestle with the radio stations
b) most of the time i'd rather go iPodless than listen to my shits all narrowband modulated
c) given those facts, i'd be fine spending some time or money routing whatever i need to the back of the stereo.
using a tape adapter right now. rather noisy, mechanically and electrically, but it does what it do.
I rock the cassette deck w/ adapter.. if you have a disc changer that gives you the options of cd, cassette and ipod..
Next system I buy will be a cd player with mp3 capbilities with and auxilory jack for my ipod.. but right now the cassette adapter works perfect for me.. used it like this for a year or more..
I hate the radio transisters.. I've never used one that was worth a shit.
