Im pretty much sold on the Intel version when it launches if its under a grand with cover and pen included. I havent used my ipad 2 in weeks and have been looking to get a laptop to replace it, this looks sweet as fuck pretty much.

So it's a cross between a MacBook Air and an iPad?

There are actually two products:
one which is more of an iPad, that runs on ARM processors and runs more consumer friendly apps such as games and other apps you would find on an ipad.

the second is the pro version that runs an Intel Processor, an i5, and runs the programs you could run on a laptop/ desktop such as photoshop, illustrator, office, lightroom, etc. This one is geared towards being a laptop replacement.

The cool thing is both are the same basic form factor except the pro model is a bit thicker and heavier, however they both use the same accessories.


edit: think of the first model running ios and the second running osx if you want a better comparison, even though they run the same os in this case.
