firefox problem

i turned my computer on today and when i went to the internet all my firefox browser preferences were reset. so i have no bookmarks none of those quick links that sit above the tabs even all the cookies or whatever theyre called that i turned off are all back on even my homepage is gone. is there anyway i can get this back or even if not tell me what went wrong so it doesnt happen again.

that usually happens when you click the clear personal data button or something similar, dont know what fixes it

Nah, that won't delete your bookmarks.

I'd say just cut your losses and uninstall/reinstall. Sounds like you just got hit with some shitty error.
