it wasnt that good. seemed like a big dave and busters advertisement.

Although Frank was pretty good in this episode, he seems to be the only one who has mastered the Philly accent.

that was very bothersome to me, especially considering after the first commercial break it said "it's always sunny is brought to you by Dave & Busters." the dave and busters shit was actually distracting me from the plot cuz it was like a fucking infomercial for them.

that being said, charlie had his moments, and frank trying to hang himself in that lady's house was pretty amusing.

I did like the line "You will not get a better steak in an arcade atmosphere."

Charlie explaining that smoke turns into stars had me cracking up.

Are you fucking kidding me with this episode? Dave & Busters and Coors? Get the fuck out of here.

The part with Charlie and his "uncle" was hilarious.

wasn't the shameless promotion of their sponsors kind of the point? it's a show about socially deranged people who will go at nothing to make a dollar.

edit: can't believe i wrote down "earn a dollar"

going back to saying it distracted me, that was part of the reason. i was trying to figure out whether they were trying to push that so hard that it became kind of like a wayne's world moment where they are hyping up pepsi in the middle of the movie and shit like that.

but at the same time, it's like they didn't push it far enough to be product placement satire, and they weren't subtle enough about it to make it an unnoticeable product placement.

You really shouldn't let little shit like that get in the way of the show. I mean, it's a fucking hilarious mess and all the characters are so fucked up.

It is what it is.

I actually liked the uncomfortable gray area. Fans of the show know it was satire, but it wasn't so far that it was corny. Breaking the fourth wall and going over the top would have been gay. I like the wink and nod approach they used. Maybe I am overthinking it, but I thought it was well done.

This show has had episodes dedicated to shitting in the bed and wooden teeth and everyone's talking about how deep and well written this one was? Since when do people read so much into the storylines of this show? Was it so obvious that the only explanation people choose to believe is that it just had to be done in satire? Well maybe they just sold out hard for an episode and there really isn't some hidden economic commentary at all.

duh fuck you talkin bout, man? no one called it "deep and well written" (anything but), i think the camps are more split between "it was shameless promotion as satire" and "the dave and busters shit was gay"...no one's reading too far into it.

yeah man this show has totally sold out and jumped teh shark. i hate how they compromised their high artistic integrity in this episode. at first i thought it was a post modernist meta-reference serving as a satirical allegory but now i'm pretty positive they're just a bunch of greedy capitalist assholes.

btw i own the first season on vinyl

If putting up with one episode that is not that great and full of advertisements makes them money to keep the show going, I am ok with that.

You're not overthinking it. Certain faggots here tried to overthink it and got tangled in their own feminine/retard musings.

Yes, it was Diet Cola brand cola.

Loved when they were just screaming, "Intervention! Intervention!" when they had something to say in the last scene.

Also, I guess Frank's the resident pothead?

Snail was a good character I'd like to see more of.

i'm ok with frank being a pothead

'why don't you go downstairs and download me a hoagie off the internet' was one of the best lines last season

meh. maybe if it was with McPoyle's in an ultimate creeper episode. Artemis is the character that needs more face time. the show needs more nip blazing and bleached asshole.
