Word. I will definitely checking L&K out.

BTW. XOMBI is awesome, and I wholeheartedly suggest/recommend/demand you guys read it. The Trade is out and I think it's on all the Comics apps, as well.

How DC didn't include XOMBI in the new-52 is beyond me. It definitely fits in the EDGE corner.

The series spun outta events during Secret Invasion and takes place during Dark Reign, and involves Nick Fury realizing that Hydra had infiltrated SHIELD pretty much during his entire tenure as Director and his efforts to bring down HYRDA once and for all, just as HYDRA themselves are gearing up to take shit over.

Bendis got top billing as writer, but Hickman's fingerprints are all over it, from the designs of the covers to info served with some slick graphic design (a la THE NIGHTLY NEWS). Dope art by Stefano Caselli as well.

I just started reading it, and so far, I'd say yes.

Even though it does take place during the "Dark Reign" era from a few years back, Nick Fury's corner of the world during this story seems pretty insulated from the rest of the Marvel U.

I'm not sure yet if it's that way the whole way through, but so far, all the info you need is presented within the stories (and handy info graphics.)

Hell the fuck no. Read the series in this order:

Welcome to Lovecraft
Head Games
Crown of Shadows
Keys to the Kingdom
Clockworks

Trust me on this one.
Thanks for the heads up on this book guys. I tore through all of them within a matter of days.

It's a great series. I rarely stay stay current with it though - its the rare series that I prefer to pick up, sit down and read in one shot when the trade gets released.

Thumbs up on Secret Warriors as well. I feel like it got a bit convoluted after a while, but it started out strong and the last trade I read was still pretty enjoyable.

Semi-recently surprised by the series Chew. Great read if you like entertaining quirky shit that isn't afraid to go oddball gory when it needs to.

If you guys like Jonathan Hickman check out The Manhattan Projects #1 on Image, i thought it was pretty excellent.

Also really like the Carnage USA miniseries that Zeb Wells and Clayton Crain are doing.

I just got done with vol. 2, which definitely leans heavy on what was going on in the Marvel Universe at the time. You may still be able to follow, though.

Not only am I not reading it, but I'm so pissed about it that I might stop reading Marvel altogether again. These annual crossover events are so lame.

Agreed. They've run that game so long that the whole thing has gotten so inconsequential.

I'm also out on AVX, I may start reading Avengers again after it's over.

I just read Skullkickers Vol. 2 and it's fantastic. Action-packed, funny, and great story and art.

Haven't touched a comic in 6 years but I have some questions for the heads still dedicated to the cause....

1. Why the fuck is Colossus the new Juggernaut?? What happened to Cain Marko??
2. How did the X-men break up into 2 teams led by Cyclops and Logan respectively??
3. Why did they change Magneto's real name??
Bonus: Why the fuck is Marvel/Disney canceling Avengers: EMH. Best Marvel cartoon in years??
