Just ing about how I've never considered that Walt could start using.
(Not that I think there's even a chance of them heading that way, but srsly, it has never even crossed my mind).
Yeah, seems like Walt's going to go be cooking the blue meth for the competition exclusively rather than selling them the Methylamine.
Then he and Landry from Friday Night Lights will rob Declan, and potentially cross Mike and Jesse, while Hank tries to figure out what the fuck to do about his brother-in-law being Heisenberg.
Hopefully somewhere in there, Schuyler gets shot in the face.

At one point I thought maybe Declan was wearing a wire - he seemed to be trying to get Mike to admit that he was responsible for the blue meth but Mike stayed silent.
I think Walt might try and work with Declan though. Selling him diluted Methylamine seems a bit obvious/risky.

yeah, that seems explicitly against his character
I doubt they will double cross Declan too, subtly or violently. Mike won't go for it. These are his contacts and ultimately his head on the line more than anybody's, he wont risk everything to help Walt live out his power trip. Especially now that most of his 'guys' are in jail. Although I can see Walt feinting like he will cooperate, then trying to double cross EVERYBODY at once including Mike.

It would seem impossible for Walt to dilute the Methylamine as they have a sample gallon to test it against.

That's exactly what he's going to offer to do, cook for the competition, to keep cooking.
Then, obviously, he double crosses everyone. That's what he does every time.

have to commend cranston's acting, he's amazing. I thought it would be impossible to hate him completely the way walt was, but the scene when skyler comes home and he invites jesse to stay, the look on his face is just an absolutely completely different person and you really can't stand him, there's no old goofy walt left at all. dude is brilliant.
I mean...it's the last season (or first half of the two-year last season), everything should be over the top. I think there's actually been way too much setup thus far.

Most awkward dinner in recent memory. Just great shit watching Jesse flail around while trying to ingratiate himself to Skylar.
I thought the way Walt broke the tie was fine. Used his scientific training to solve the problem while causing significant pain to himself. Walt doesn't care about pain of any kind anymore.
I didn't think that Mike only using the one tie was out of character. He clearly felt bad that he had to use the tie on Walt in the first place.
Another solid episode. This season is going so much better than the floundering we had at the beginning of the last one.

Had another thought- with all the Jesse James mentions, maybe they're setting Walt up for an assassination. In the Jesse James analogy, I guess Landry from Friday Night Lights would be Robert Ford.

any thoughts on walt approaching declan to become the distribution arm for his empire. not working for him but a partnership. with mike and jesse gone he no longer has that side of the business down. instead of working for him he is an independent supply chain. he knows how valuable his product is and so does declan. so why wouldnt he approach him with the proposition something along the line of exclusive rights for a year or two and then renegotiate down the line.
I could see that, and that makes sense because even though Walt is insane, he should understand he doesn't have the distribution reach. I really thought this 8 episode half would end in Hank finally learning that Walt is Heisenberg, and that still might be the case, the way Declan was probing Mike about the blue stuff and the title of the upcoming episode being "say my name" has me thinking Declan might be DEA or atleast working with them. I think Mike has been slipping and breaking against his own rules this entire season, so it would make sense if he got duped by this supposed connection. But then again Walt doesn't have an empire yet, and I guess he has to be Scarface for a bit before everything burns...so yeah, the partnership makes sense even though we only have 10 episodes left.

you make my initial thought seem a bit more plausible

In previews for next episode it showed Hank throwing the blue meth in front of Declan and say he was Heisenberg, so I don't think he can be an agent unless Hank goes on the run very soon after.
