there's a subtle but very big difference between what everyone predicted (he's gonna go work for declan) vs what actually happened. he didn't offer his services, he didn't submit or even really enter a partnership. he browbeat the dude into submission by invoking the big H word, and then shook him down for 5 mil to boot. he annexed their gang more than anything else, via a bluff of all things. nobody predicted that.

So how did the off the books surveillance of the lawyer turn into Gomez being allowed into the vault?
Did they get a warrant in between scenes?

yea that seemed sloppy. they were investigating the lawyer for literally 15 minutes, somehow turned the exact date and location of the money drop, then got a warrant for the money drop despite actually observing one happen in any way (assuming he does them once a week and we already saw the one he did last week).

I didn't say he'd offer his services, submit or partner. I said he would cook exclusively for them RATHER than selling them the Methylamine, which is what he did.

Not that far fetched. Gomez and his team probably called all local banks asking if Lawyer Dan had accounts there. They find the one and ask what time/day he usually stops in. That's why that lady that received the treats from him wasn't happy when he showed up with the cake pops, she knew he was in trouble. He was either there at his usual time or she was the one that made the call to Gomez letting him know that the guy they want is in.

Not quite. He's not cooking for them, they're distributing for him. It's a subtle difference in practical terms but a huge one in terms of having the hand in the relationship. Walt would cook for them, but this isn't Walt anymore.

And Saul pinpointed that dude was weak anyway. So its not that far fetched that he would get caught like he did. Sucks that Mike got murked like he did

Cops can't get bank customer information without a warrant.

Kellz, your lack of interaction with white women is skewing your perception of Skylar and her actions.

i see enough to stay away. that shit looks unbearable

the way walt sits there like a douche bag trying to enjoy a frozen dinner and get some sort of interaction with her. 'i'm working with someone new' he says and she seems repulsed by his even existence. what an evil scag

I suspected that Mike would eventually die by the hands of Walt, was mad at first how it went down but that was kind of perfect really. Walt could probably just leave and not get tied to the murder, though Jesse will know once it hits the news. Show is just so good.

I can't even fathom what's going to happen next though. you guys have any guesses?

can't see walt hunting down the other 9 guys and killing them all off systematically.

especially since he clearly relapsed into walter white mode after murking mike.

I'm wondering how they're going to deal with Mike's death.
If his body is never found, the DEA will think he's on the run.
But if he's found murdered, that will put more scrutiny on his crew and Madrigal.
It would be in Walt's best interest that Mike disappear, but how can he do it on his own?

I don't understand why he even wanted the names, dudes are locked up. He doesn't have that kind of reach. He doesn't have any reach really. Is this where Todd's uncle would come into play?

Also, did anyone else think it was interesting how the ending of this episode in a way ties back to Mike's line, "Just because you shot Jesse James doesn't make you Jesse James" with how Walt is basically Robert Ford by the end of the episode?
