It's the twentieth anniversary of these films this year. Have they aged well or gotten worse? Pick your favorite.

The two best movies are without doubt Hard Boiled and Bad Lieutenant. Two of my all-time favorites.

Really tough but I have to pick Bad Lieutenant. So many memorable scenes, Harvey's racist rant in the cab, him masturbating aided by unwilling girls, his mental breakdown in the church, his bad-ass ambush on the rapists. Some of the best acting I've seen honestly. The character is very tough and silent but also a completely vulnerable bleeding heart addicted to smack, gambling and catholic guilt. A classic.
Whether to Jason of Philaflava or John Podesta, I will speak my fucking perspective openly

I never realized Bad Lt. and Reservoir Dogs dropped the same year. That's fucking crazy. Keitel basically owned the cinema that year. Can't pick a favorite. It's between those 2 and Malcolm X. Lots of :race: films up in here come to think of it.

It's fucking Malcolm X, easily. X is a monumental film and a hell of an achievement. DOn't get me wrong, there are some other phenomenal films on this list but none of them are touching Malcolm X.

Not the "best" of the bunch but "White man can't jump" is definitely my favorite.

I really like White Men Can't Jump but any scene where Wesley Snipes has a basketball in his hands is ruined.

Malcolm X, Unforgiven, Hard Boiled or Resevoir Dogs for me.

I went with Malcolm X.

More than scenes when Woody is balling?

I ask cause I actually balled with wesley snipes once (randomly) and he wasn't bad at all. More athletic than skilled but his game didn't look terrible on any level.
Honestly, they both seem like normal pick up game, carrying-when-they-dribble types to me.

seriously, this may seem like nitpicking like when drizzle complains about Uma Thurman in Kill Bill but if you aren't at the very least slightly annoyed by Wesley Snipes' basketball playing scenes then you have a vag, you are gay, you were in glee club or were a male cheerleader.

blockhead is a name dropper of The Game caliber.

One time I sold drugs to Hayden Pannettiere. I whispered "Save the cheerleader. Save my penis." She winked. End of story.

I dunno...Compared to like 99% of every other basketball based movie ever, it's not THAT bad. It's a little goofy and over the top but at least it looks like he seen a basketball before.
You've obviously never seen "Harvard man" or "The Basketball Diaries". No THOSE scenes are unwatchable.

Sorry for the thread derail...but Greg Started it. HE'S A JERK.

Never seen harvard man. Basketball Diaries' basketball scenes suck. I'm with you on that.

Movies where the basketball scenes actually look good off the top of my head:

Glory Road
Rebound: The Story of Earl the Goat Manigault
Air Bud
Finding Forrester
He Got Game
Space Jam

Out of all of them it's hardest to believe Unforgiven was 20 years ago. Clint was old as fuck then, kind of surprised he's still around and kicking.
I voting with White Ice on this one, although most all of them are favorites.
