I think that's the premise for Age of Apocalypse, DoFP is where the X-men fail to prevent some politician from being assassinated by mutants, which causes a national lockdown on all mutants
senator kelly
in age of apocalypse some people went back in time to kill magneto, but back then he and xavier were still friends and xavier got killed protecting magneto
collosus is tight everytime i met him. his bros are both rugby good.. but the fam went thro some shot b/c their neighbor got beaten to death @ a house party at their's & it took years for anyone to get implemented
What are the theories that people have regarding how this going work on on screen esp regarding timelines?
a)Prime - Is this the world of X1-3 and Wolverine Origins and The Wolverine?
b)Second - This would be the timeline that has XMen First Class, and will probably be where we start the new movie, correct?
c)Third - This would be the world that Bishop inhabits were mutants live in concentration camps.
Alot of buzz is that they are going to be fixing continuity stuff and converge the timelines. Can it be done in 2hrs without confusing the hell out of mainstream viewers?
Actually, this picture makes me think that they'll just be two timelines...which would make a hell of alot more sense...
a)W:O, X1-3, TW
b)XM:FC...and I guess in this timeline Trask comes to power and Sentinels are runnin shit and Bishop is just from a far off in the future version of this same timeline...
But still, how/why do both of the timelines intersect?

Thoughts?!
I just assumed that the First Class and modern X movies were the same timeline?

Maybe you're right. I thought they significantly changed some stuff though, which is why Alex Summers was around, Mystique was Xavier's adopted sister, etc.
Age Of Apocalypse is (in my opinion) the greatest X-men arc/storyline ever. I pray to God that Hollywood doesn't even think about attempting to convert that into a film.

sorry Avengers
Oh, I'd hold off on making that strong of a call for a bit.
Im crossing my fingers that its as good as the Avengers. Better? Too many things would have be done right...I dont want to set myself up w/too high expectations so soon.
P.S. TDK is still one the best superhero movies ever put on screen. No amount of Nolan hate/denial will change that.
i don't hate the design at all, i just didn't expect it to be drippin purple candy paint. i remember them as having a menacing dirty red color. this paint job reminds me of early 00s macs that came in blueberry and tangerine
Either way, that looks bad-ass. I don't think they necessarily have to be 80 feet tall to work. Swarms of the Sentinels pictured above would be equally terrifying.
