i'm going with house of cards narrowly over fargo. doesn't have the length of some others but it has the girth.

Tough call between Americans and Madmen

Fargo was like True Detective in that the finale was really underwhelming but for a whole different reason than TD.

Hannibal would be number 1 for me above all though.

Fargo was amazing but I'm almost as skeptical that they can repeat as I was at the concept of the show initially.
Most of these others fall under the fun, but not truly great category. Still need to start The Americans and Leftovers.
Mad Men like others have said, has been an elite show for a very long time, so it deserves to take this.

Fargo and True Detective were my favorite TV seasons since since season 4 of The Wire. A lot of great TV drama out there right now, but those two are a cut above.

Very serious. I don't watch Scandal and have intention of. I like the scheming and conniving aspect of the show. Plus I love Spacey's monologues to the audience. If you don't, then I guess you don't.
