rly like that no one seems to be doing a clear impression of a character from the film. Freeman was distracting last time.

Re: Fargo (TV Series)
Just caught up on the first two episodes, pretty great so far.
Good to see Danson back on a good show for once.
It's hilarious that fucking Landry once again accidentally murdered some fool for a pretty blonde and once again is foolishly trying to cover it up. Don't the writers know that was the worst storyline in the history of Friday Night Lights?
Him stuffing the leg through the meat grinder was a nice little throwback to the wood chipper from the movie.

That whole scene where the KC guys roll up on the Gerhardt's...from the scene in the barn, to the interaction between Dodd and Milligan and the Kitchen Bros, to Dodd and Floyd's ensuing meeting was my favorite shit. Mesmerizing.

Re: Fargo (TV Series)
I guess they just did the math after they learned from the typewriter guy that he sent Rye to talk to the judge and that she was killed at the diner soon after that.christian from austin wrote:how did the bokeem woodbine and the KC mob figure out it was rye gerhardt who clipped the judge in the diner?

This show is the shit. Fucking love it.
Their accents sound off but it could be worse.
Glad season 2 hasn't dropped the slack.

Re: Fargo (TV Series)
Still enjoying Season 2 quite a bit, but some things are kinda bothering me.
(spoiler alert)
This week's episode was stronger though. Still a great show.
Big question for me is WTF is going on with this UFO bullshit?

best show on tv... surprised there isnt more discussion
so good
so good
Re: Fargo (TV Series)
I was worried that was going to be the final episode. I absolutely loved the first season of this, but this one.........this one may now be my favourite. The mix of dark dark comedy, suspense and violence just does the trick. It potrays the whole situation as a ridiculous mess. Seems pretty honest. They really nail the small town moments.
I love the casting. Nick Offerman was great in this last episode.

Buy my mixtape.
Re: Fargo (TV Series)
I was wondering why they had Offerman on the show if he wasn't going to do or say much of anything, now I get it. In an amazing episode, he was easily the best part.

Re: Fargo (TV Series)
Finally caught up... I love the fuck out of this show but there are some really reaching plot contrivances this season (as was already pointed out above), and I'm missing the more humanistic character driven elements of s1 that have been sacrificed in favor of hard nosed noir/pulp.
Collin Hanks' character's battle against his own perceived cowardice and his relationship with his daughter, Molly's quiet determination and frustration with being undermined, them all coming together as a family under Lou's patronage, Odenkirk's slow disillusionment... not enough of shit like that this season. Although I do really love the Solversons and Gerhardts presented as close family units, especially with Offerman's character coming in to strengthen the former while the latter is doomed despite Floyd's best efforts.

It's everything I wanted from S1 of True Detective(especially as it seems they will actually delve into the UFO mythos)

Re: Fargo (TV Series)
I've spent the whole season being irritated by Dunst and Fatt Damon, but they were great in this episode.
But I need them to die now. The Gerhardts' subhuman is my favorite character besides Milligan.

This might've been my fave ep of the season. The stabbing scene had me in tears.

Finally caught up, amazing show. Dunst and Dodd killed it last episode.Didn't necessarily like Hanzee turning on Dodd out of nowhere, but then again his loyalty to him never made sense anyway. Can't wait for the massacre.

Re: Fargo (TV Series)
I kinda took it as a foregone conclusion that things are gonna end badly for Peggy and Ed but now I'm wondering if the whole point is that they actually make it out of this ok. Would love for the last shots to be of them chilling in California somewhere.

do i need to watch season 1 to enjoy season 2?
there's too much good tv out there to find time for.

Re: Fargo (TV Series)
No, technically you could watch season 2, the movie, and then season 1 in that order.unbelievable dickhead wrote:do i need to watch season 1 to enjoy season 2?
The one thing you'll miss, which might be to your advantage, is that you won't know which characters from season 2 will survive. For people who have watched season 1, we know of at least 3 that will survive.
