Adam Cole in the Bullet Club!!! Global Wars was a pretty fun show.
-Tyler Breeze (saved by R-Truth, I'd say)
No chance, Tyler Breeze has a tremendous upside. Mic work is solid, and not many in the company can do what he does in the ring. Booked correctly he could be HBK lite.

He has potential but his current gimmick comes off as amateur and one dimensional. He doesn't need to be repackaged but his gimmick does need to be tweaked.

I'm such an Ishii mark, so I'm biased, but i thought it was the best Bobby Fish singles match I've ever seen. Pretty big win for Fish, but loved the finish.

You don't have to explain that to me- I like Tyler Breeze. I just think two things hurt him (and those things are completely connected): they have no idea how to utilize him on the main roster, and he isn't really getting much of a reaction. I think the way he's been handled so far, it seems like his ceiling is lower-midcard in the company's eyes. Maybe they don't fold quite yet since he was only called up recently, but he needs some momentum coming out of this thing with Truth/Fandango/Goldust.

They called him up like six months ago, I would be very surprised if they were thinking about cutting him so quickly. I'm more surprised they didn't swiftly dump Ryback after the latest shitstorm

Matt Hardy said this on Twitter, but it's kind of crazy that some version of the Bullet Club exists in the top 3 major promotions.

I was trying to think "who is Bullet Club in TNA?" then I remembered TNA isn't major any more.

Just finally got around to watching the Legends with JBL episode with Michael Hayes. Wow. Can't believe they went there.

Really wish there were more of these, can't believe the free reign JBL is getting.

I've probably said this about a half dozen times already, but I couldn't be happier for Drew Gulak, who qualified for the WWE's Cruiserweight Classic at the most recent Evolve show. He's about the nicest dude ever, and he's incredibly dedicated to what he does. He's got a unique style, and is one of those guys where you can use the old phrase "no wasted motion".

I'm hoping he has a good showing, and I'd be somewhat surprised if he and Chris Girard (Biff Busick) don't butt heads in the Classic.

Good for Gulak. One of the most improved and always enjoyable out right now.

Unrelated, is this the worst-named wrestling VHS ever?

Highspots Network is doing a free one-month deal right now with promo code WEWATCHWRESTLING. Lots of good stuff to choose from- shoots, The Kevin Steen Show, CZW (up to this March's Proving Grounds), PWG (up to Don't Sweat the Technique from last April), PROGRESS, RevPro, AAW, WrestleCon... a whole lotta stuff worth watching. Seemingly well worth the $9.99/mo price tag.

Can't wait to dive into some past BOLAs.

It's a compilation of shoot interviews documenting Bret's rather abhorrent behavior behind the scenes in both WWF & WCW.

Of course it's one-sided and should be taken with a grain of salt, but it's entertaining nonetheless.

Cody Rhodes requested, and was granted, his release. His Twitter statement suggested that the lead writers didn't have any ideas for him, and weren't receptive to his ideas. I didn't really appreciate just how good he was until Stardust happened- he wasn't just a comic book villain, he was a man losing touch with reality and slipping ever further into a personality he adapted to match his brother. Dude is too good to just fall by the wayside. I can picture him slotting in perfectly in Ring of Honor.

He's only 30, he's too good to be a mid-carder. Cody Rhodes vs Okada...Stardust vs Dalton Castle....Dr. Doom Cody vs Prince Puma... I don't care, make it happen. He's kind of the perfect WWE guy to work the indies/NJPW/ROH/LU.

Top to bottom, that was the best PPV Ive seen in a while The right person won every match (assuming Cesaro or Ownes win Money In The Bank). The IC match was fucking bonkers.

The Ambrose/Jericho match was pretty slow and boring until the tacks came out and the main event felt just like the one at Payback. SO glad Seth came back to save the ending. Face Rollins vs. Heel Reigns is money if the commit to it.

Not sure where Styles goes from here. Low on heels. Wyatt would be perfect and a cool opportunity to unleash Balor at some point to even things up. Maybe Orton or Cena?

Good stuff overall.

I want Styles still in the main event picture. Give him the MITB and let Balor cost him. That IC match was just bonkers. All in all, great show.

think it's pretty clear at this point that they've committed to keeping Reigns where he's at and never going full heel. He's not gonna be as over as Styles or Rollins, but he's gonna constantly beat them clean

Safe to call it the best May pay-per-view ever?

I didn't catch it, but with the sole possible exceptions of "In Your House: Beware of Dog" and Over the Edge '98 (and Wrestlepalooza & Slamboree '98 if we're counting outside of WWE), May has consistently been the weakest monthly outing of the year for pay-per-views for two decades now.
