Previews seemed pretty damn weak to me. I'll definitely be lookin' for this when it comes out though.

Yes, Shaun of the Dead is good.

What's a matter Cleanhobo, never taken a shortcut before?

I thought the previews were pretty cool. These guys are the only filmmakers right now that are making comedies that reward you for paying attention, a la the greatest seasons of The Simpsons (which Simon Pegg has said is his favorite show ever). Did anyone catch that in the second trailer, there was a movie in the used bin called "Zombie Party" that looked eerily similar to Shaun of the Dead's DVD cover?

Very nice.

Love,

Smooth Lou

Saw this tonight.

Severely flawed in my opinion.

Despite sucking Point Break and Bad Boys 2's dicks multiple times I cannot say that I particularly enjoyed myself.

For reference, I thought Shaun of the Dead was pretty good, not great.

all the reviews say that it's a step below shaun of the dead. So if for you Shaun was good and this was mediocre, for me Shaun was great and this therefore will be good

This was worse than mediocre but not outright bad.

Yep, the Cal's on you now.

I fucking loved Shaun of the Dead. Did I already mention that in this thread? I might as well say it again, because it's not any less true.

Didn't feel this movie. The "whatever the fuck that fast cutting technique is like where the guy takes a shot and then gets on a plane in Snatch" technique used in every fucking scene gave me a headache. I loved the point break jokes. It had it's moments but overall a poor movie.

Shaun of the Dead was far superior.

All in all, I thought this movie was great. It's no Sean of The Dead but i think i enjoyed SOTD more coz i'm a big Romero fan.

I know what Moolah is saying about the editing, but the the director has been using that kind of style since the Spaced days (way before Snatch was even a twinkle in Richies eye!) I was fan of Spaced so it was expected. I also think that coz i've been into this trio (Pegg, Frost & Wright) for a while, they're kind of funny by default to me.

I could definately understand people who've haven't seen earlier stuff not enjoying this. I say check it out anyway...

saw it over the weekend

not as good as SOD but very enjoyable regardless. starts off kinda slow and dry, and stretches the end just a little bit too long, but when it's on (which is all of the second half) it's spectacular

The two maing guys are on point as usual, but i gotta say Timothy Dalton had the best performance just having a ball as a villian. Some nice cameos in there as well, needed more Coogan. Paddy Considine as the cid dude was serious lolz

recommended but not mandatory theatre viewing, waiting for the dvd would do just fine
