Makes me really wish I'd been watching The Wire in real time when blankety blank got blanked. Internets must have been doing double nuts.

I have a few beefs here and there- wish they hadn't gone so slapstic with Tyrion's battle and thought they didn't really do a great job of selling Robb's strategy- but overall just a great great show. A really masterful job of adapting source material that could pretty easily go very wrong.

The girl that plays Arya is so damn good. Like I don't see how she doesn't become a giant star.

ehh shit, I just went and purchased the second two Hunger Games books from Target the other day and was questioned about my purchase from the sixteen year old girl at the register (fucken knew this was going to happen the exact second i stepped in line, so was already contemplating a lie about them being for a niece or a daughter of a friend, but ended up just spouting out the truth and admitted they were for me. her response? 'i can't really get into them. the only one i read was 'to kill a mockingbird'. their a little ahead of my reading level'. not sure if she was misstaken or just misspoke, but found it funny either way((by the by, later on we met up and discussed what it means to die over cigars and scotch))) so i guess i couldn't be ashamed of fabio saddling up on the shelves next to those preteen shits

Great fucking episode. I knew what was going to happen and it still enrages me How much of a gaping faghole Joffrey is. God damn, I hate that little bitch. He's really well cast as I fucking hate the actors stupid fucking face and want to smash it in with a baseball bat every time I see it and that's how I felt about the character When I originally read the books. Can't wait for next weeks episode and I'm going to cry myself to sleep every night between it and the season 2 premier. and like Dids said, can someone explain the Stark kid's tactics a little better? I didn't quite understand how he was able to take the Lannister guy prisoner.

the lannister spy spied them as 20k deep. robb sent 2k thataway to get slaughtered, while the other 18 took jaime lannister and annihilated that portion of his army. i've only watched each ep once and never read the books but that was pretty explicit, fill me out if i missed something

I just figured there's no way Drogo dies, as that will the dragon bitch will die too and then there would literally be no reason for them to be part of the story at all.

ya jamie's army was off laying seige to some castle elsewhere

it kinda irked they didn't show any of the battle scenes, i understand budget constraints but still... the way rome handled these things wasn't much better but at least they showed something.

they could've at least showed the scene of jaime's capture, that doesn't need a cast of thousands

also, how the fuck is drago dying from a scratch? in a host of 40000 battle hardened warriors, nobody except some foreign witch knows how to treat a simple cut wound? what's even dumber is that drago's bodyguard that got killed by Jorah clearly has a similar wound on his shoulder, perfectly healed and stitched up.

I suspect that the witch fucked up or purposely put some shit on Drogo's wound that made it worse.

Yeah, I wasn't saying it wouldn't have been badass. In the book Jamie killed HELLA dudes in that battle before he was captured and robbs wolf was ripping out throats left and right. They definitely should have includes that shit.
Also shae (tyrions new ho) is horribly miscast. She's supposed to be a local peasant type prostitute. Not some crazy exotic porno bitch. Ah well. Minor complaint, I guess

drogo didn't sweat the cut, but it doesn't mean the dothraki don't treat wounds. the mistake was letting the witch near him, hope they burn her soon.

Its a simple cut today, but Europe in the dark ages was not exactly known for their cutting edge medical beliefs and techniques. Hell the flu killed more people than trench warfare during the Great War.
