I often ponder on how awesome it would be if film distributors used quotes from this very forum to sell their movies.

looks like a very dope action movie albeit the absence of overtly 'bond-ish' elements is also acutely felt

Greek Bond girl will more than likely die in the first forty-five minutes.

Trailer looks cool though.

Looks dope.

Young Q will have to sell me. Im being open minded though. Here's hoping the gun isnt the only gadget.

Also, hope Jeffrey Wright is in this one.

I don't know how it is across the pond, but the media are going crazy over here over the Bond 50th anniversary and citing Skyfall as the best James Bond flick ever made.

Planning on seeing this tomorrow but undecided if I should see it in IMAX or regular. As far as I know none of it was actually filmed using IMAX cameras, but it was upconverted in post-production so that the IMAX version will show 26% more of the screen. Here's an example screenshot that I found:

I think I might just see the regular version, but willing to see it in IMAX if convinced enough.

It's only a few more bucks for IMAX. You're probably over thinking it Dan

$8 vs. $15. That's $7 I could use for lunch afterward. I'm just saying, will IMAX make it that much more enjoyable? If this was shot in IMAX I wouldn't even be asking this question. It's the whole up-conversion that bothers me. Like, I would never pay to see an up-converted 3-D movie, because to me, it seems they're only releasing it that way for the extra bump in ticket prices.

Saw the IMAX version today. No complaints at all. Well worth the price.

Really entertaining movie that unfortunately has a ridiculous amount of plot holes and a theme that batters you to death. I'll wait a few days before getting into it so I don't spoil anything.

Worth seeing in the theater. Fantastic stunts and dialogue, definitely a huge step up from "Quantum..." and probably better than "Casino Royale". Bardem is a really memorable villain and just bursts off the screen.

Not the best Bond movie ever, but a top tenner for sure.

I thought it sucked. I'm glad that bitch M died though. I've always hated the actress who played that salty old cunt. The tone was all wrong. It was even worse than that Roger Moore one where he was in Harlem.

Bardem's character was a bit silly, but he killed it none the less. Good movie, easily better then the later Brosnan films.

It was good but not without its flaws. I could've have done with more Bond-ian glamour and intrigue and less cartoon violence but that's a minor complaint.
