point taken. that being said, movies like drive or kill list were lower budget and how they handled the gore seemed much better imo

Did anyone go see the new one?

Wish it was playing near me but at least it looks like it will be out for streaming at the end of April.

I peeped it on demand. I enjoyed It a lot but it was definitely too long.

I do love how Zahler paces his movies and sets a tone like movies from the 70's but injects these insane action/violent scenes. He pulls no punches.

Yeah but I completely misunderstood the dates. It was made available for streaming last month and will be out on DVD this month. Not sure it even had a decent run in cinemas anywhere which is a shame.

I only learned it existed this weekend so it completely flew past my radar initially even though I'm a Zahler fan.

Loved this, even though it was about 30 minutes too long. Zahler's stuff feels like the 1970's type of film that just isn't made anymore.

I know Mel said a lot of reprehensible shit, but between this and Blood Father, the guy is still one of the best actors working. I can't wait to see what he does with the Wild Bunch remake

And I'm loving the Vince Vaughan-aissance. Don Johnson needs to be in more movies...
