LMAO at people (white foreigners? moolah? check. emcee darth malek? arent u a white canadian? check.) criticizing brother mous in that scene with cheese and somehow claiming his character is cartoonish or out of place or contrived when the MOST BLATANTLY CORNY/CARTOONISH CARICATURE OF DIALOGUE/CHARACTER ACTIONS are those of cheese and his two goons to start that scene. cheese is the cheesiest character by far.

bitches this and suck my dick that and overreacting to his own joke to excessively laugh and dap up his two goons who giggle with him? no, whitey, hood dudes worried about consignment/cops/etc. do not act or talk like that. you will never hear a cornier more "try to make him sound like a tough womanizing black thug" choice than cheese's actions/words.

brother mous is SO CALCULATED that i had no issue believing his character. on a more symbolic level i saw his character as a reality check that baltimore is a small fucking place and not the end-all be-all of life and in one quick second someone who is more polished than u can show up fromthe other side of the world and fuck ur shit up - you aint shit. brother mous is an awesome character.

slim charles killing cheese is one of my fav scenes. it aint method mans fault but he was such a fucking shitty cliche of what some upper middle class white kid would think a black thug talks/acts/thinks like

Fair enough. Prez did things that were beyond comprehension, like shooting up his car, accidentally firing his gun at headquarters, blinding a kid in one eye, accidentally killing a cop, etc, but he really redeemed himself as a teacher. He's still the biggest clown in the history of the Baltimore police force, though.

Prez had a knack for finding trouble but he was an excellent cop as far as his role within the detail was concerned.

Prez's value as a cop is what made his fuck ups so damn tragic.

Im not sure if he even realized how valuable he was to the MCU.

I wouldnt call him dislikeable as a character, but the above is true.

Exhibit A
Leaning on Bunk to find the gun of the cop who got shot.

Exhibit B
Stalling Lester and Bunk on getting into the vacants.
