I like the looks of this.

Will ultimately be over appreciated/ruined by losers.

This looks pretty cool. But I can already picture Hot Topic being overrun with 9 merch.

Also, for some reason reminds me of Abe's Odyssey.

i think the opening notes before it starts rocking out are from a different song, i wanna say something by "the knife" maybe...probably wrong though.

anyhow, that movie looks amazingly animated and seems like i will probably go check it in the theater.

I usually don't find kids movies very enjoyable, but this looks fucking awesome.

what i wrote in the "movie i watched today" thread..

I expected a lot more from this movie. Don't get me wrong. It was a good movie, but a bit hollow. Felt like it was missing something. I don't expect much from my action movies (yes, i would consider this an action flick), but it was lacking something. I think it might've been that the characters were really bland. Wish they would've showcased each character doing cool shit, the same way they did with the girl. The big guy with the blade didn't even really fight. The concept was really dope, and the CGI was top notch, but it just didn't leave a lasting impression. I left the theatre not really remembering most of it...

^^ That seems to be the critical consensus as well. Pretty to look at, bland story and characters.

God dammit, that was the one thing I was afraid of. This movie jumped ship from must-see-in-theatres to guess-I'm-gonna-rent-it much too quickly.

They could've done so much more with this movie. I would've been much happier if this movie was 2 hours because the concept behind it was incredible. But, I agree with what everyone else said, character development was not done well at all. Visually its great and the concept is fantastic, but overall, I was disappointed.
