Should I go see Patton Oswalt do stand-up?
He is playing in Chicago on Friday for 35 bucks. Will it be worth it?

go.
despite his recent material being a little less enjoyable than his previous stuff, live, he's got the skill to improve his jokes every night he tells them.
honestly, any skilled comedian, especially in the "alternative" genre is always worth catching live, simply because anything can happen that will provoke them into a special place where the funny comes from. whether its an unruly heckler, or some guy in a hilarious shirt in the front row who has a strange cackle, how they play off the crowd makes live comedy all the more entertaining.
