Kim Peek died of a heart attack over the weekend, didnt hear about it til today

His reading technique consisted of reading the left page with his left eye and the right page with his right eye and in this way he could read two pages at time with a rate of about 8-10 seconds per page.

The weird thing is with his mental framework, his mind was likely working like some sort of scanner. It doesn't seem like there was a lot of understanding past his INSANE memorization skills. Dude couldn't comb his hair without his dad.

I wonder what the old man's going to do now. His whole life was devoted to his kid.
