Pretty excited for this, first time ever I'm actually caught up in the series where I'll get to watch them as they air.
Still can't believe Draper proposed to that bucktoothed hoe (i ain't saying she's not hot but wtf Don).

have you seen her tatas in hot tub time machine? i would propose to those things too

Yeah they were fantastic but this is don fucking draper we're talking about. He shouldn't be marrying Aerosmiths daughter with bigger tits, he needs to stay knee-deep in vagina, it's who he is.
Plus I still want him to bone Joan just to see the shitshow it would cause with him and Roger.

i've debated on this for a while, in the end i think they wont do it. it's too obvious and too much of a perfect match, of all teh women in the show she seems like the only one who could handle him and that's exactly why they would avoid it.

Completely agree but if they did do it i'm sure it would be the scene to end all scenes. Don is actually much more likely to stick it in Peggy at some point.

'my name is peggy olson and i want to smoke some don draper-juana'

would be such a cringe worthy moment but that's exactly why i agree with what you said regarding the likelihood of it

I've onl caught about half of season 1. Should I watch the other seasons first? Is it necessary?

it's a continuous show so yea, you def need to watch all of it in order if you feel like following up

I though season 4 was amazing, I think it was my favorite season.

Kind of surprised at the people in Curb sleeping on the show tbh.

I'm geeked for Sunday.

2 hour premiere motherfuckers!!

Just watched the whole series on Netflix Instant. From season 3 finale through the end of season 4, it was consistently very good. The feel of the 1960s seems on point, and the cinematography is wonderful, but it's mostly a show of white people problems & cool stories bro. Am I the only one who feels like he's missing something? This is rated so very highly and I just don't understand it. I will finish watching the series, but I wouldn't care if I caught it as it aired or 3 years from now when it's all done.

I thought that was her, but someone I mentioned it to strongly denied it like his life depended on it. She looks pretty hot in Mad Men, dunno about Don getting married again though.

great show. i feel like season one could stand alone...pretty much perfect. From season 1 on, its been a very good show, but the first season was transcendent.

Most of this board will likely choose Breaking Bad over it, they are not incorrect, but Mad Men is certainly the number two spot.

Decent first episode, but I felt it lacked a little something. It was a bringing everyone up to speed episode so it's easy to forgive any minor issues I have with it. It's just good to get the band back together. Oh how I missed you, Joan.

Loved the party scene and the Mrs. Draper dance sequence. The Campbell/Sterling back and forth is going to be fantastic this season.

Not liking the newly married Don Draper thusfar, and that's obviously going to be a major plot this season.

Looking forward to the next episode.

underwhelming, but i usually find the premiere underwhelming. Had good moments and good parts. I like pryce showing his inner creep, i like that pete felt like he was living dons life in seasons 1-3. I liked ms. draper. It was cool, just ehh. and 2hrs. is a little long for ehh.
