Yeah we've talked about this elsewhere, this news leaked over the winter. Really wish Lynch would actually try to reassemble the original FWWM cut instead of releasing it all separately but beggars can't be choosers.

They've also shot NEW footage of some type, directed by Lynch with members of the original cast. I can't tell if some of it was mixed into the promo in that EW link or if its yet to come.

I really hope there's a lot more of that part of the story with him and Bowie, all the stuff that happens outside of Twin Peaks in the movie is the hardest to understand

I think it took me about 4-5 watchings of FWWM with subs on + correlating to small clues that are in the show to finally understand that scene. I think the gist is they kidnapped him and held him at the apartment above the convenience store, which may or may not be in another dimension and on fire. And they're made of electricity/travel by wires, hence the constant shots of the wire polls/traffic lights.

Twin Peaks - The Entire Mystery is loaded with special features. In the two-part feature “Between Two Worlds,” Lynch himself interviews the Palmer family (Leland, Sarah and daughter Laura) about their current existence in this life and the next, and follows up with a discussion with the actors who portray them. Twin Peaks - The Entire Mystery also features “Moving Through Time: Fire Walk With Me Memories,” an exclusive retrospective documentary featuring interviews with cast and crew who recount the making of the Twin Peaks movie and working with David Lynch. The collection also features high-definition versions of the Log Lady episode introductions, transferred from recently unearthed 16mm film negative, a selection of newly discovered deleted scenes and outtakes from the television series, and three Twin Peaks photo galleries with over 130 behind-the-scenes images from David Lynch’s personal never-before-released collection.
fuck.
lynch interviewing a few peoples on the gold box was a major highlight on the special feature tip. remember the mädchen one being particularly memorable, the palm family one should be appropriately nutso.

Regarding the new scenes from the tv series:
Capping off more than 30 deleted/alternate scenes is an epilogue providing a fascinating glimpse beyond the cliffhanger finale of the TV series.
