i enjoyed this. the music surprised me, haha.

if you don't mind a little crit:
the payoff was good, and unexpected, but maybe could have been foreshadowed with some ruthless stereotyping: some ambivalence from your protagonist (towards the repair man), your repair man a little more surly, less bohemian rhapsody quotes, a little friction. i liked the atmosphere you created, and it certainly looked nice.

just a couple of thoughts, good work just the same.

if you want a less temporary home let me know, i can throw it on my site for you.

Fresh, I dug this. Thought the pacing was great. Enjoyed the look and the music. And your lead was pretty convincing.
