The Wanderers, Major League, Red River, Rio Bravo and The Lost Boys are better than every movie mentioned in this thread not named Goodfellas, Casino, Die Hard, any of the Leone flicks, the original Nosferatu, The Wild Bunch, Fast Times At Ridgemont High, The Searchers, Raging Bull and The Godfather 1 and 2.
Also adding on They Live, Winchester73, Army Of Darkness, Django and Fright Night.

I disagree. The Alphabet storyline is fantastic, the last action sequence is brilliant, Axel's one-liners are perfect, Endless quotables, Reinhold kills it, and the chemistry between the main characters is fun as fuck. I like the first one A LOT (third one too), but II is perfection.
And I prefer Fistful. I just do. The plot is great.

I'd like to Second (or maybe Third?) City of God.
Also, I would like to nominate Children of Men , a movie that is very new, but one which I believe will be looked on in 20 years as the most underrated film of the early 21st century.
Set design hasn't played a role this big in film since possibly Citizen Kane.

Killer is a better all around movie, but Hard Boiled is superior in terms of action
