The first two were posted on these boards but no reups were done. Sadly I hadn't ever been here when they were first posted.
Kool Keith: I wore a straw hat with a feather to the last Source Awards. When I got to Madison Square Garden everybody was looking at me. When I got back home I seen everybody and their mother in their video wearing a fuckinג€™ straw hat with a feather in it.

Tim Dog: ג€œWhat Kool Keith gonna wear? Iג€™m gonna do that shit in my video. Iג€™m gonna wear that shit really quick. Whatג€™s Tim Dog gonna wear?ג€

shadowmaster wrote:You came through man, nice one. That's the ACD lp I was looking for, like I said in the other thread I've felt ACD ever since I heard them on that Streetlife track something like 10/11 years ago. Heard some other appearances by them over the years that weren't too hot but hopefully this lp is nice.

BTW - how do you search for links? Do you just google track titles/album titles or is there some kind of search engine for the links on sites like megaupload, yousendit etc etc?
I pretty much just google the album/artist/song name and add megaupload/mediafire/zshare/download/upload or whatever else works.

For example, "mobb deep zshare".

Dead Prez

Post by shadowmaster »

London I had those Dead Prez tracks but I can't seem to find them. I know it's not much use to you but I took a good look around and they were nowhere to be seen.

I'd suggest you try soulseek, or maybe someone else will upload them.

I really need some help to find a song...
I've been trying to find it for like 10 years...
I first heard it on the radio and taped it..but I've lost the tape..

The beat sampled Isaac Hayes - Ike's Mood...
you know the one with the piano...
Same beat as:
Cormega - Beautiful Mind
Biz Markie - Make The Music With Your Mouth, Biz
Smiff-n-Wessun feat. Mary J. Blige - I Love You (Remix)
Foxy Brown - (Holy Matrimony) Letter To The Firm
and probably a whole lot of other songs...
it's a pretty known beat...

I can't remember much of the lyrics...
but the hook went pretty much the same as in
the Smiff-n-Wessun song.... where Mary sings...

"Those pretty memories,
I know you can hear me now.
For the record, I love you"

The rap lyrics are more of a story...He raps a lot about his
mother and how she got sick and he had to hustle to pay for the
hospital and shit...he eventually gets caught with a brick or robbed/shot or something...and when he wakes he's cuffed to a hospital bed....

Here are some excerpts of the lyrics...

"and in the trunk, there's a punk
from the Bronx who want drama...(don't me mad mama) "
That last phrase is sung..."don't be mad mama"

"...looking at my moms hooking..."

well..that's all I can remember about it...
It would be much appreciated if anyone could help me with this...
Thanks!!!

OH SHIT!

Post by shadowmaster »

Damn I've been after that song for something like a decade also. I had it on tape but my friend lost it

I loved that track. Some of the rhymes I remember:

'Locked up with enough time for 29 men, and I'll never see my girlfriend again,
I gots to hook up with my homies I grew up with, the crew I blew up with.............
I'm pumping from Brooklyn.............
Got crackhead slaves in the backcave (And I did it for the cream, mama-sung),..........
That's the first time I saw my pretty mother turning tricks'

I knew a lot more of the lyrics but my brain's drawing blanks right now.

Westwood had that shit and only played it once I think, damn I want this track someone must know who made it at least.

The rhymes would suggest a Brooklyn act.

Edit-The hook also interpolated parts of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody - starting with the 'Mama, just killed a man...........'

The track then cuts to the main rapper talking on the phone from jail.
