I'm sure I'll catch flack for this one, but I voted for the group that doesn't sound like two netcees with speech impediments. Yes, I understand how profoundly influential this EPMD album was, but honestly I enjoyed their second album more when they'd had time to iron out a lot of the little kinks in their deliveries.

Much love to "Fight The Power", "Welcome To The Terrordome" and "911's A Joke" but the first 6 tracks on "Strictly Business" is my favorite succession of tracks on any rap album and, as a cracka who drives a luxury automobile wif a bitchin' soundsystem, brah, i will take the bump and thump of "You Gots To Chill", "Strictly Business" and "It's My Thing" over some righteous blackman musik (no "AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted"/Brand Nubian's 1st LP, natch) anyday.
Also, Eric Sermon, Parrish Smith or DJ K. La Boss aren't distributing faggot space-crossdresser rap Mindbender Futurama cdr "albums" like Chuck D's website is supposedly doing according to Mindbender.

This is the worst opinion you've ever expressed here. The fact that you need to repeat it suggests to me that you were perhaps fondled by a little league coach around the time "It's My Thing" debuted on the radio. Confirm/deny?B. Deny.
EPMD is dope though (arguably/probably the best hip hop duo of all-time), that's just not my favorite album of their's. Although it's probably the best produced album of the 80's and Parrish didn't really sound netceeish, but you gotta admit that Erick was still developing vocally at that point. I know the lazy shit was a huge part of the appeal and the redefinition of flow from old school to new school. Really just a sarcastic comment to piss off the old guard.
