What's up
Have a few requests that I haven't been able to track down...
First off is a Mobb Deep track, probably a demo, of GOD pt III... I have a rip I took off a tape I had of it, but it's terrible quality... it's an early version of the song... the verses are slightly mixed up... and the samples/drums are alot grimier/muddier. Here's a link to my tape rip of it: http://www.sendspace.com/file/72uy76 I love this version, and didn't like the release version... on the single, the drums are all clean and pretty and the sample is pushed way into the background. It's like a neutered version of the song. Anyway if anyone has a good copy of this version, let me know.
Next is a track off one of the "Underground Airplay" mixtapes that Ecko used to give out with gear back in 93-95ish. It's off Vol 3, called "Massive Dope" by Twice Da Flavor. I've only bee able to find a rip of Vol 4 online.
Next, I had a casette single for that group Fam-lee, it had a remix of the "Runs in the Fam-lee" track that I remember being alot darker than the original. I'd like to get a hold of a rip of that single with the remix on it.
Next is a bit vague... a guy I used to know used to play a single at parties, I think the title was "The Adventure" or "Lyrical Adventure"... it was similar to Zhigge "Toss It Up" type vibe, bouncy beat and the guys used the same reggae type influences. All I remember is near the bridge one guy starts saying "taking a lyrical trip, taking a lyrical trip, take a lyrical, take a lyrical, take a lyrical trip"... anyone recognize that?
Next is probably easier, was from a video that used to run on BET/The Box... was 3 guys, one of them was like a Ol' Dirty wannabe, the hook was "Hot Peas and Buttaa... come and get your suppaaa". Alot of it was shot on train tracks. One part of the song one of the guys goes "Its not over till the fat lady singsss..." showing this fat lady in a viking costume, then the ODB looking guy comes up behind her, grabs her mouth and says "SHESS NOT SINGINNNNN".
Last one is a Canadian one... there was a group called St8 of Mind out of Toronto, had this real grimey track called "Mood Swings". I'm looking for the demo version they had on "Demo Battle" on the college radio station. They redid it all cleaned up later after getting some buzz and I wasnt feeling the later version, but the demo version they first aired was great. If anyone has that let me know
Thats all I can think of for now...
