Man 0, Wild 2. Both true stories about eccentrics who fell a little too in love with nature and grew too out of touch with humanity. Grizzly Man, along with Proposition, is the favorite to win this bracket, but don't sleep on Into the Wild. Most people who went into it thinking it would be crap (including me) came out pleasantly suprised. Into the Wild is more of a ode to America than a story about a lost traveler, although these two themes aren't mutually exclusive. Who knew Sean Penn would make one of the most patriotic movies of the decade?

Into the Wild is really the better film but since the protagonist is not really in line with any kind of character people can sympathize with, the beautifully shot narrative is lost in the general apathy and/or loathing of the subject.
Grizzly Man is the exact opposite in that it has Herzog being his overbearing self to an nth degree due to his own disdain of the fagbearman, a decently put together documentary with the us getting to see the main character get shat on by herzog making it a more enjoyable experience.
