he didn't really find happiness, more or less ended the same way it began. there was no love interest either, unless you count the chick who he banged who only wanted him to impregnate her. but yeah, he got in an adventure i guess....pretty general formula that 99% of movies fall into.
if u think anchorman is better than labowski, you're crazy.
u probably laugh at the 3 stooges.
Seems like when it comes to comedies the majority of you are opposite of how I feel
To me these are both modern classics
But replay value, come on, u can watch 40 year old virgin over and over and over, and while you can watch Anchorman over and over, Steve and Ruud were both better in 40yo than in Anchorman
And Romany was a beast in Virgin
Plus it had every character on point, even the manager was hilario
"Puedo nadaaaaaaaaa", lol
When Seth Rogan is like 3rd or 4th fiddle in a movie you are murkin the comedy genre
there are the same amount of sly classic scences in 40 yar old virgin than in Anchorman, people votin for anchorman cuz it was at first not well recieved then got a cult likle status, and 40 year old version was a big timer at the box office and with critics but damn look past that it still had them hilarious inside jokes and cult classicness that Anchorman had
Even tho it was like an hour longer, lol exaggeration but yea

Ron Burgundy: Boy, that escalated quickly... I mean, that really got out of hand fast.
Champ Kind: It jumped up a notch.
Ron Burgundy: It did, didn't it?
Brick Tamland: Yeah, I stabbed a man in the heart.
Ron Burgundy: I saw that. Brick killed a guy. Did you throw a trident?
Brick Tamland: Yeah, there were horses, and a man on fire, and I killed a guy with a trident.
Ron Burgundy: Brick, I've been meaning to talk to you about that. You should find yourself a safehouse or a relative close by. Lay low for a while, because you're probably wanted for murder.
love 40yov but anchorman is too funny.

Anchorman is probably the last Ferrell-centered film that I could stand. Good thing, because it's fucking hilarious.
I actually like the first 2/3rds of 40yr better - Rogan, Malco and Rudd kill the fuck out of that film. But when they start on the warm ending bullshit... I quickly lose interest. Closing credit dances were awesome though.
Voted Anchorman. Doubtful I'll ever see another Ferrell film as good as it.

It should be mentioned that if you've only seen Anchorman once, you have to rewatch before voting.
The first time I was just kinda "meh", but after some 15 subsequent watchings, it's fucking genius. It's so abusrd at first that for me it was distracting, but once you kinda realize the tone of the movie, there's just way too much ROFL.

Anchorman is more rewatchable. Enjoyed both though.
General Interests: Fine herbage! Keepin it real, Jui Ryi Ki Kung-Fu (Blue belt with shuriken certification). Banging the skins with my smokin band 'TwaughtHammer'. European motocross (plan to attend Wheelie School in Vegas this summer). MILF's, MILF's, MILF's, MILF's!

Please eat shit and watch I Heart Huckabees by yourself.Balzac wrote:u can't deny americans eat that shit up. go watch white girls. i'm sure u got it on dvd.CheezPizza wrote:OMG I LUV NORBIT!!! You act like 13-year-old girls want to see The Big Lebowski. IN NO FUCKING COUNTRY DO ENOUGH PEOPLE WANT TO SEE THE BIG LEBOWSKI TO MAKE IT NUMBER ONE. GET OVER IT. It's not gonna change, and movies like Meet Dave and Hollywood Chihuahua will always be box office smashes.
God, I fucking hate people who want to debate what other people find funny. These movies are fucking hilarious to most normal people. Being friendless puts you in the bottom demographic of comedic audiences. I hope when you die, Satan has enough sense to Clockwork Orange your eyelids while you watch every Rob Schneider movie for the rest of eternity.
