people are fucking raving about this album, I can't wait to hear. One of the few albums I'm excited for in '08.

like I said in mp3x, a lot more immediate than Cookie Mountain. Funkier and not as morose.

can't bloody wait to hear this album, seeing them live for the first time next month as well. one of my favourite bands of recent times. really liked the first disco-esque single off of this.

Barknee - where are you seeing them? At that Shoreditch festival? I want to see them, but I don't really want to go to that
(ie my bird won't let me) .
Saw them Koko last year and they were really good.

yeah but they have talent. I got no beef with non-minstrels and non-milleniums.

So this album has grown on me a lot. "Family Tree" is amazing.
I feel it is a great album, better than Bloc Party, better than Portishead even.

I don't know about excellent. It's good and I've listened to it 4 times in a row at work today. Maybe it's not grabbing me like their last album. Their great stuff was REALLY great. Sometimes its just ehh.

with each successive listen, it's gotten better
it's risen to my top three of the year, along with the new of montreal and the bug album

Yeah? Couldn't get into that Bug album at all.
This TV on the Radio album is dope. Just got tickets to see them - thankfully they announced more shows outside of that festival.

I just don't get these guys. The production is nice but I find the songwriting lacking in personality.

Pretty boring album, and I'm a big fan of everything they've done up to this point.

saw them play earlier this month, it's a great show, they make certain songs even better live, it's a great dance vibe and they seem really nice. show had a sense of "specialness"
