Besides Albert Pujols
Who I refuse to believe is just 29 years old, is there a better player for his "age" than Grady Sizemore (26)?
Besides the fact he swings at a lot of shit, so his does rack up those K's he is the total package. One of the best CF in the game today.
If he had some patience at the plate he'd bat close to .300 and have 30 more walks per year. The man is probably the best OF in the game in terms of offense/defense.
Go ahead, tell me who's better than him.

he's a better hitter though.Philaflava wrote:Hanley will probably be on the OF in about 4 years. And at that time he won't even be 1/2 of the fielder Sizemore is.jamrage wrote:I'll take Hanley over Sizemore.
He hits for better average, on base, steals, has comparable power and rbi numbers and he plays shortstop.

Plus we're talking about right now, not four years from now.

He's off to an incredible start this season, but he only hit in the low .270s last year and struck out a shitload.
Plus he can't run for shit.
Too soon for him in this conversation.

Hill is playing over his head right now. He's a good 2B at best. Lind is a real talent who just needs plate discipline and to learn how to hit lefties better. If he does that you're possibly looking at a 30/100 guy in the upcoming years. But Hill is more of an asset defensively because Lind is nothing special out there.
You talking about batting average in 2009?jamrage wrote:Get back to me in 2 years.Tweak Da Leak wrote:Magneto wrote:Evan Longoria >>>>>

Yeah since when did we completely disregard batting average? I'm well aware of the great start Longoria is having but when Brandon Inge is hitting over .300 as well you have to think maybe its a bit to soon to call it.
Longoria is a top talent but let's not get ahead of ourselves and think he is going to be the next Wade Boggs with those BA numbers. Longoria could be Mike Schmidt lite if he can stay healthy for about 15+ years.
