Best producer on the mic VRS. best MC behind the boards...

thats right Ardamus, because one thread about Kanye West is EXACTLY the same as a thread about producers/MC's like Large Pro, Quik, KRS, etc.
but I digress. you are doing a fantastic job policing our state, plus the other thread was fuckin boring.
More Producers/MC's - Shock G! Although I hold him (nh) in high regards, I don't think he made major changes to the hiphop movement, since no one else put on fake body parts and acted like someone else.
But still, he's a major player.

He was first established as a rapper, but wound up being responsible for a
good amount of dope production, from a few choice cuts on Ultra's "Four
Horsemen" album to Screwball records.

No love at all for Tonedeff? He is an incredibly skilled and well rounded emcee, and has made some great beats as well.

Tonedeff is dope, but lets be honest, every rapper/emcee in this discussion so far is way more popular or has a bigger fanbase than tonedeff. I'm a fan, and I know he has lots of loyal minions across the globe, but he is not that well known outside of his usual circles for production.907 wrote:No love at all for Tonedeff? True but he also doesn't have the catalog as a Quik, Daz, Diamond D or Kanye so it's hard to even compare.Remo the Great wrote:Tonedeff is dope, but lets be honest, every rapper/emcee in this discussion so far is way more popular or has a bigger fanbase than tonedeff. The thread you locked was a really good thread. Should be unlocked IMO. It's based off of this topic but totally different discussion. Really good posts and a good read in there. That's all.ardamus wrote:cenzi, i'm locking your other thread. you're saying the same thing in both. keep it all in one.
