will this version of "Every Record Label Sucks Dick" do Verge?Verge wrote:Yea,I got all amped when I found these, only to realize the sound was butt. The quality of the Omniscience jawn isn't half as bad as the Crustified Dibbs one.vaporized wrote:yes, got a murky demo version of this, very good though.PopsUK wrote: Omniscence - The Raw Factor (a full CDQ version)
got an even murkier version of Crustified Dibbs - Night Of The Bloody Apes, would like to hear full quality of that, I think Erick Sermon produced a few of those tracks on there
Is there a better quality of the Crustified? I really just want a good mp3 of "Every Record Label Sucks Dick".
Anybody?

That song ended up appearing in good quality on the R.A. The Rugged Man album that came out months ago on CD... Legendary Classics Vol. 1. I have that CD if you want a good rip, unless that's what Jaz posted.Jaz wrote:will this version of "Every Record Label Sucks Dick" do Verge?

Thanks Jaz. Nah, I'm good wicked, thanks. I think I have a rip.
Since a high quality of that song is on there, I might cop that now.

Call O' Da Wild Question
In the Cypress Hill - Unreleased and Revamped booklet, that "Call O' Da Wild Coming Soon" written at the end would lead me to think that an unreleased Call O' Da Wild exists.
Does anyone knows anything about it? Thanks.

I can co-sign this. I was there for most of this process hanging out. I actually have photos of them writing and reocording the songs. Two of the tracks were released on Blueprint projects and one is on the Atmosphere Sad Clown Bad Dub 4 DVD as a bonus cut at the end.... The other ones, I can't remember what they were. A lot of it is them doing the most straight forward punchline/battle/braggadocio rap...they were definitely just having fun with it.Blockhead wrote:i can shed a little light on the orphanage album. there is none. all those guys were together for like 4 days and recorded a bunch of verses over unsequenced beats but nothing ever came out of it. it was literally just them fucking around. while i'm sure these recording exist somewhere on earth (i forget if it was ant or blueprint who did all the beats and recorded it) but nothing was close to finished. rest assured, this will never ever drop.provoked15 wrote:what about that nonphixion album, or the orphanage album...
The time it was being recorded (at Eyedea's home studio) Sage Francis was hanging out too, but he didn't record anything. He was working on writing songs for one of his projects...maybe the first Non Prophets record?

Non-Phixion's second album was advertised in the cover of "The Green CD", I don't have it in front of me now but I beleive it was to be titled "Nuclear Truth" or something like that? Who knows how much of it was actually recorded before that whole thing with Goretex getting kicked out went down, but I'm pretty sure they were advertising it as being available the following year, which makes me think it must have been close to completion, if not finished. Hopefully it does get leaked someday...provoked15 wrote:what about that nonphixion album, or the orphanage album...
Also they advertised a group called "Secret Society" (Non-Phixion + Necro), they even had a logo made for that, similar to Non-Phixion's logo it looked like a death metal group. I guess Goretex killed that shit too. Also there was an ad for ILL BiLL + Necro "Blood Brothers", but I'm not sure why this was never released... maybe that will still come out one day but I'd much rather hear the Non-Phixion & Secret Society shit...
EDIT: When I say "Goretex killed that shit", I didn't mean that in a good way LOL. I should have said "killed it off"

Smoothe Da Hustler's sophomore album
http://90sguy.net/90s-wiki-smoothe-da-hustler/After the success of his first album much was expected of Smoothe’s sophomore album, but due to Profile Records sale to Arista records in 1997 the album never saw the light of day. Rumoured to have heavily featured rising star Big Pun, the reasons for the album being shelved are unknown and are usually put down to the industry cliche ‘label politics’. It is likely that because Arista was owned by major label BMG Group, underground acclaim was no longer a good enough marker of success and Smoothe’s relatively low record sales would have warranted little or no promotion for his second album.

Honestly, he should release that one. Judging from their appearances on the first S.A. compilation, and their singles, the album looked very promising.mister_mo wrote:Yep they had a finished lp:

Nine went through a similar issue with Arista around the same time. He speaks about it briefly in this interview (3:56).Bigg Boss Luciano wrote:Smoothe Da Hustler's sophomore album

What a shame how much material was hindered by these two as a result. Imagine a Nine and Smooth duo album - geesh!
