Vinyl Rips:True Sound Sampler,General Sekwan,much more
I've been digging in my crates looking for stuff to rip that I haven't seen floating around at all.
Here's a few I dug out the other day.
I'll be straight up real with you on this one, I don't like this record, until I threw it on I had forgotten altogether why I hadn't listened to it in years, but it's pretty hard to come by and I'd be remiss if I didn't let y'all judge for yourself. This here is a record from (a pre-Sporty Thievz) King Kirk called "Glamorous Dreams".
The label says 1995, and I can't even find a scan in Discogs to prove this to you, but I SWEAR it sounds exactly like the late 90's-early 2000's "jiggy" sound (the B-Side especially) that drove me away from hip-hop for a bit. If you like that sound, then you may dig this. I apologize to the rest of you though, I just figured I'd throw it up because I took the time to rip it.

It gets better, I promise.
The 2nd is a record on Profile Records by a kid named T-Roc. I know nothing whatsoever about this dude except he's from NYC. It's from 1996 and the title track is "Citi Never Sleeps". The A-Side is on some R&B shit, with Missjones doing her thing. It's still dope, but if you don't like your hip-hop with an R&B feel, this may not be your thing. The B-Side is on some more rugged shit though.

3rd on the list is something (thanks to Nobs) that you may have recently become familiar with. From outta Virginia Beach, VA comes The General Sekwan's "Lickin' Off". The A-Side is the winner here, no question. The B-Side tracks are aight, but they're not fuckin' with the title track.

Last but certainly not least is the piece de resistance this time around. The True Sound Sampler. This features some LA Riot era Western Hemisfear. I wasn't feeling the first track, but the last three are dope. The B-Side stuff is KILLER, with a track from Vooodu! and one from Bird where Western Hemisfear destroys it.

I'll be back in a few weeks or so with some more. Enjoy...

Good lookin out, DS.
Definitely gonna check these out.
I hope you don't mind that I changed the thread title to not
get it confused with the stickied "Vinyl and CD Singles" thread.
Thanks again.

Incidentally True Sound has a cassette release too. Alien Nation Radio has posted the b-side on youtube. The cassette contains 4 short, but killer beats from Bird and another track from Vooodu and Supernatural Thang. Would be dope if somebody could post those gems...
The Western Hemisfear and First Brigade should been supergroups...
Damn shame it didnt come true...
And has anybody heard about Torche? He was also in First Brigade and released a rare 12" on Wild West called The Distance. First Brigade is featuring on that vinyl... Also a stuff what Im looking for a long while...

Aw man, damn sendspace always leaving dead hosting links.. I never heard those vinyl rips and was looking forward to the download. If anybody can provide a re-up, if not than I'll be on the lookout for it in the crates.
