There's a ton of Halftime Shows archived on the WNYU site and it goes all the way back to February 2006... http://wnyu.org/archives?c=halftimeshow

@dirtywaters. Ok, I'll start a Halftime thread when I get back from tour and start posting some of the oldest shows. I'll also see what older S&B shows I haven't uploaded yet.

1998

Tonight is the 13 year anniversary show... It's live right now and dope!

The Halftime channel on Ustream has the camera on the Emcees and the CrazyLegsWorkshop site has the camera on the DJ's & Producers.
The audio from the Halftime Ustream is better though... I have both open and turned off the volume on CrazyLegs.

*EDIT*

Damn, DJ Boogie Blind tore up the tables and even spun all original vinyl, including 45's!!!

But YO, if you missed it, here's the Halftime Radio Ustream version with the best audio that had the camera in the room with the Emcees...

I thought maybe college initials also, but I think they all went to NYU, or at least one of them did and that's how they met the Brewin.

@The Big Sleep:

Are you still keeping track with all the new dates for the Stretch & Bob blog?

I noticed that we have a January, 1996 show with an unknown date (the one with Bahamadia & DJ Homicide that Nes uploaded)

And we already have the following dates, so the one above has to be January 18th.

Thursday, January 4th, 1996 (Kukoo, Mr. Sinista)
Thursday, January 11th, 1996 (Big Twan, PA Black, L-Swift, A-Butta, Triflicts)
Thursday, January 25th, 1996 (DJ Eclipse, Funky Jilz, Ghetto Communicator)

Edit: January 4th, 1996 is not the full show, but Stretch is in the studio, while on the Bahmadia show he is absent with Homicide filling in for him.
think you're right about that one Krisch

here's a 1997 hot 97 show with guest Tragedy

I emailed Bobbito to try and get dates for some of the undated shows we have floating around. He was nice enough to take the time to help..

@Eclipse @Aleph/Nobs/Steve - any chance you guys have these dates??

JANUARY 21, 1993
FEBRUARY 10, 1994
AUGUST 17, 1995

1990 - Funk Flex

I DON'T HAVE AN EXACT DATE FOR WHEN FLEX CAME UP WITH 9MM (WHO LATER BECAME THE ARTIST NINE ON PROFILE RECORDS)
HOWEVER THEY ROLLED UP IN 1991, NOT 1990

1991 - Percee P, DMX

PERCEE-P CAME UP TO OUR SHOW ABOUT ONCE A MONTH IN 1990 AND '91, IMPOSSIBLE TO KNOW WHICH DATE. ACCORDING TO
MY RECORDS, HE DID NOT RHYME WHEN DMX THE GREAT (WHO LATER BECAME DMX) CAME UP, WHICH WAS IN MARCH 1991. I DO NOT
HAVE AN EXACT DATE FOR DMX, THE OTHER ARTIST THAT NIGHT WAS G-CERONE. PERHAPS PERCEE WAS IN STUDIO AND DIDN'T RHYME?
I'M NOT QUITE SURE

late 1992/early 1993 Nas (you better get it on time kid lol)

HAHA. THE INFAMOUS 'GET IT ON TIME KID' LINE HAPPENED ON JAN 21 1993. NAS' FIRST APPEARANCE ON OUR SHOW WAS VALENTINE'S DAY,
FEB 14, 1991 WHEN HE WAS COMPLETELY UNSIGNED.

1992 (December?) - Onyx, JMJ, Big D & DJ Jaycee of Ultra

I HAVE ONYX'S ONLY APPEARANCE DOWN FOR DEC 3 1992. THE OTHER ARTIST'S THAT NIGHT WERE AJ DAMANE, SCOOB AND SCRAP LOVER,
MR. C, MIKE EL, EXCEL, AND KOOL KEITH

1994 February - Kwest Mad Lad & IG OFF

FEBRUARY 10 1994.

1994 - (July?) Buckwild & Ez Elpee

I USUALLY ONLY LOGGED THE MCs THAT ROLLED UP. BUCK AND EZ ELPEE WERE OUR FRIENDS SO I MAY NOT HAVE EVEN VIEWED THEM AS
NECESSARILY "GUESTS" WHEN THEY CAME, SORRY CNA'T HELP WITH THIS ONE . . .

late 1993/early 1994? - 8 is enough, big L, Cam, mase

ON DECEMBER 16 1993, BIG L BROUGHT UP KILLA KAM (CAM'RON), MURDER MASE (MASE), BUDDHA BLESS, BLOODSHED, HERB MCGRUFF,
MC TERRA, AND BIG TWAN. I DON'T REMEMBER L ACTUALLY RHYMING WITH THEM. MOST OF THEM LATER APPEARED ON L'S LP CUT "EIGHT IS
ENOUGH" AND I RECALL THEM CALLING THEMSELVES THE CHILDREN OF THE CORN THAT EVENING.

L, BLOODSHED, MURDER MASE AND KILLA KAM RETURNED ON APRIL 18 1996 WITHOUT THE REST OF THE CREW.

1994 (Spring) (Rappin is Fundamental, Easy Mo Bee)

JUNE 16 1994, ZHIGGE ALSO CAME UP THAT EVENING

1994 (october?) - Brand Nubian, Maestro Manny, Tony Bones, RA

OCTOBER 6 1994, I DON'T HAVE RA THE RUGGED MAN ON MY LIST, DOESN'T MEAN HE WASN'T THERE THOUGH

late 1994/1995 - Nine

JANUARY 12 1995, ALSO HAVE WORLD REKNOWN AS OUR GUESTS THAT EVENING

1995 (august?) - tony bones/mr live/ breezly brewin (juggaknots) (freestyles over monche beat tape)

AUGUST 17 1995, TONY BONES, JAY LIVE (FROM FORT GREENE, BROOKLYN, LATER BECAME MR. LIVE TO NOT BE CONFUSED WITH J-LIVE
WHO CAME OUT WITH THE BRILLIANT "BRAGGIN' WRITES" 12" IN 1995, AND NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH THE ORIGINAL MR. LIVE WHO RHYMED
ON OUR SHOW AUG 15 1991), BREEZELY BRUIN OF JUGGAKNOTS, AND C STYLEZ OF TOTAL PAK ALL RHYMED THAT NIGHT

 Sweeeeeeeeet. Bob comin thru with the dates (& reminiscences)- great work, Nes!

I have yet to hook up w/nobs again. He has at least one more 93 show to share. I still have a few odds and ends (parts of shows) from the last batch that nobs/steve may or may not have remaining pieces of. Most likely they'll stay fragments; once we can definitively say that is the case, I'll post them.

I have been keeping a tally of POSTED shows only, so we'll always be up-to-date. I'll add the new info next wk and share the list.

I heard another date Bobbito mentioned in passing on one of the shows: August 29, 1991 with The Jaz.

Also mentioned on the 8/15/96 show was the fact that they were not on the air the following wks: 8/22/96 and 8/29/96, so we don't have to go searching for those.

Wow, I hope at least a couple of those shows surface. Definitely the 8/17/95 Tony Bones/Brewin/Mr Live show; I've been hoping to hear that again forever. Was it Monch's tape? I always thought those beats were made by Bones himself. Either way, those beats were too hot to be left unused.

December 10, 1998 w/Arabian Knights. Hereג€™s an interesting one. This, and not Nov. 19, appears to be the last KCR show, and with Dec. 3 still an open date, Nov. 19 wouldnג€™t even be next-to-last. Stretch is a no-show, so itג€™s an S&B show without S. Since Bob & Sear were caught out there with very few records to play, they had to cede the last hour to Brian of the Night Train show. Peace to nobs & steve.

Wow. Did they mention anything on air? Wait, nevermind. If this show was at Midnight, that means it was 9pm out here in Cali. Good shit though, thanks.

And btw, how many Boogie And The Barbers would you say you have on tape? I think my favorite is still the one from July 1996 with A Tribe Called Quest and Consequence. I don't know if I have the whole show though... Do you? And do you have an exact date for it?
they spoke on the biggie situation a bit, i haven't listened to the whole show straight through, but I heard the dutchmin giving their condolences. This was after Biggie's shooting, I think 12-2am or something was that timeslot. They already had a hot 97 RIP Biggie promo thing that you'll hear on there.

I'm actually kind of running low on the stretch shows that I have, maybe only a handful left. I have a few more of those hot 97 shows, that Tribe appearance was actually on another hot 97 show they had called the B-Side that ran during the afternoons. Wicked- Are you the guy who was posting all the Wake Up Shows or was that someone else? any more of those you plan to share?

Yes, I'm the one with hundreds of Wake Up Shows on tape. I plan on sharing a lot of them. Sorry I've lagged... I'm always involved in all sorts of projects, mostly ones involving my radio mixshow or me making new mixes n shit. I'll try to get back to upping more asap.

And yeah I remember now, The B Side. Was that more of a random show? If I remember correctly, it seems like that one with Tribe was the first one cuz of something they said? I forget.
word, I was rockin those wake up shows last year, thanks for those. I never really got to hear that show
I think that B-Side show was kind of like more of a promotional vehicle for artists more than a mix show
I know that B-Side also had shows with had Redman promoting 'Muddy Waters' and Jeru promoting his 2nd
Tribe was promoting their 'beats rhymes' LP... Seems like that was kind of the basis for the show
Wow, nice. Do you have the one with Redman or Jeru??? I loved the one with Tribe.

I grew up on the Wake Up Show... Started listening in '90/'91, but didn't start recording til '93, but even then, it really wasn't full shows. I was 18 in '92/'93 so of course I was mostly going out Friday nights and listening in the car or at friends houses. I have most of the '94 shows and then a few from '97, some from '98, and most shows from 1999-2002.

thanks for the latest, fellas.
On the 11/16/95 show, they mention that they will not be on the next week cause its Thanksgiving.
So, we can add 11/23/95 to the "no show" list if it's not already been established.
