I don't think Rip gives them enough spacing on the floor though.Reason wrote:you raise valid points in general, but specific to the bulls the real reason rip was chosen over craw is that craw demands and needs the ball in his hands. that's rose's job. rip is reggie miller lite and doesn't need the ball to be good on offense until he gets it right before he shootsnaturalborn103 wrote:he got overpaid. He is 31, bad defender, and volume shooter who hits low percentage of shots. I think he shot %41 last year.stupidregister wrote:I'm really surprised at the lack of interest in Jamal Crawford. $5 mil per year is all it took to get him? Why didn't the Bulls pursue him harder? I would take him all day over Richard Hamilton. Pretty disappointing.
I do agree with the assessment that Craw needs the ball in his hands to be effective. He's not really a spot up type of guy.
But then again, with the condensed schedule, I'd love to have Craw in the game when Rose isn't. Just have Craw run the offense while Rose is on the bench or a couple times while Rose is in the game to give him a breather. Honestly, who else on the Bull is creating offense for themselves or anyone else?
Teams with legitimate championship aspirations usually have two of those type of guys.
now THAT would be sick. spell rose with crawford (because as he has proven his whole career craw murders defensive second units)
but would craw be happy playing inconsistent minutes (how many minutes can u really take from rose's ball-dominant ways)
anyway rose worked on his post game, ft shooting, and ability to draw fouls this offseason as his goals for improvement. if that's the case i don't even know how many free throw attempts rose will get

the knicks win againNash's stance hasn't changed
Suns have said numerous times that they're not trading Steve Nash and the veteran point guard has reiterated that he doesn't want to leave Phoenix.
Nash, reportedly has once again said he doesn't want to be traded.
"I've met with him and he knows he's welcome to stay here as long as he wants," Suns President of Basketball Operations Lon Babby tells The Arizona Republic. "The opportunity is available to him."
Nash is a free agent after the season and he will either re-sign with the Suns or move on to the Knicks in the summer.
